Since a lot of people (myself included) have been asking about mods that are compatible with our beloved ARHD ROM, I thought I’ll compile a list of mods that people have been reported to be working on this ROM, with a few descriptions.


RULES:
  1. First rule of Fight Club, we DO NOT talk about Fight Club :D
  2. I’m NOT a developer, and I haven’t tried all the mods myself, so TRY THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK, and ALWAYS MAKE A BACKUP before flashing.
  3. ALWAYS check the firmware version of the mod before downloading/flashing. Mods for older firmware version may not work &/or cause issue with newer ROM
  4. I set this up as a discussion thread for mods. Please feel free to discuss any mod you think would be compatible with the ARHD ROM
  5. Finally, all credits go to the original developers of the mods. I’m merely posting the links to their original threads, and take no credit for their wonderful works. :)



THEMES & COSMETIC ENHANCEMENTS:

  • Add a black and blue color theme to the standard Samsung Keyboard

  • For BOTH 4.1.2 & 4.2.1 ROMs
  • Pretty self-explanatory. Just download the files you want and flash in CWM

  • For 4.1.2 ROMs, but untested for 4.2.1 ROMs ---> Try with caution
  • Massive selection of bootanimation
  • You'll also need to download a CWM flashable zip (by anbechs) to enable bootanimations (see OP of the tread for link)

  • For 4.1.2 ROMs only
  • It's a 23 toggles mod plus lots of customization for the status bar e.g. center clock, battery mod, icons colour etc.
  • Note that each individual mod has its own zip file, so you may need to flash a series of zip in recovery to get your perfect mod.

  • For 4.1.2 ROMs only
  • Modify the Home Screen & App Drawer sizes, enable/disable wallpaper scrolling, increase maximum homescreens to 9, and allow mixed size Launcher (Mixed Homescreen/Appdrawer grid).
  • Please note blgblade developed the original mods for the ELKC firmware (downloadable files in OP), but or1m updated the mods to later firmware version using blgblade’s script and post them throughout the thread. You may need to do a quick search within the thread to find the correct firmware version for your ROM.

  • For 4.1.2 ROMs only
  • This is a framework mod that opens up heaps of extra settings, including customizable quick settings panel, quick launch panel, power menu, CRT Screen off, battery mods (from extra downloadable themes), and whole lot more.
  • The Deluxe Settings app from Google Play (cost ~$3.00; see original thread for link) is needed to change these settings, but with the amount of customisations you can do with it, it's totally worth it.

  • For 4.1.2 ROMs only
  • Originally developed for Omega ROMs, but has been reported to work with ARHD Roms
  • Framework mod that opens up lots of extra settings, including Show/Hide clock am/pm, day & date in status bar, centre clock, date style, status bar clock and date color, status bar color/transparency, notification panel color/transparency, ASOP lock screen on/off, incoming call widget color, lidroid 23 toggle mod or stock toggles, enable/disable launcher rotation and wallpaper scrolling, ink effect, increasing ringtone, and whole lot more.

  • Audio enhancement mod that combines various audio technologies (e.g. Beats, Dolby Digital, Sony Xloud) to improve the audio quality of Android smartphones.
  • Also include a number of equalizers & players (e.g. Sony Walkman, Eizo Rewire, Awesome Beats) of your choice during installation.

  • Replace the stock camera with a modded one based on the Galaxy Note 2 camera.

btw what the different between the bala_gamer and criscan multiview ?
before that I using the multiview by LegendK95, but the thread has been close because it got an apps which is multiwindow control to add the apps so support multiwindow
so which 1 got that multiwindow apps ??

Criscan's mod uses the MultiWindow Control app (a separate downloadable app available in the OP of the thread) to add apps to the MultiWindow panel, and yo can also download and flash an addon zip for transparent MultiWindow panel, while bala_gamer's mod simply add ALL apps to the MultiWidow panel and you have to manual remove apps you don't want from the main panel through the edit function.

I have seen the LegendK95's mod myself, so I don't if the MultiWindow Control app used in criscan's mod is the same one you have. But give it a go, you can always download the app again from criscan's site. :)

how about just want the ink effect lockscreen only ?
don't want from the kryten thread, force user to install aokp lockscreen, etc ....

This is the only Ink Effect only mod I can find: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2101400&highlight=ink+effect

Note that it's only for XXELLC firmware at the moment (i.e. ARHD v19), and make sure to make backup your ROM before flashing. Someone has reported lockscreen crashes with the mod, although the developer wasn't sure why it happens.

If you do try, please report back if it's working for you or not. I personally don't use it, but would like to share it with other users if it works on ARHD ROM. :)

    OP updated. I deliberately left the mods for older firmware versions in there, so people still using the older ARHD versions can still find mods that they need. I have also stated in the description of the mods if they are for a particular firmware version. If it not specified, the mod should still be compatible with ARHD v22.x.
