Happy to report Settings - About - Status fc fixed. Hotmail problem still persists. Error message is: "Activation failed. Unable to connect to network. Try again with network provider's default APN."

Okay, I understand it is fixable, but can't say I'd have any clue which files to remove from system/app or what clinthess means by "corpses" or where to get the email zip file.:confused:

I did not have this issue prior to moving to 4.3

To give a little more clarification, the two files to remove from the system/app file are the secemail_tablet.apk and secexchange.apk. I dont know if its even necessary to pull corpses. I just remember my days on a pc and how remnants of files can effect installations. I used an app called sdmaid. There is an option to remove remnants. I deleted the email and the exchange files,

At this point, email was completely gone. I rebooted into cwm and flashed this file. I cleared cache and dalvik. I rebooted and it worked. This method worked on 4.0 and 4.3. Hope it helps.

I think there might be a bug with smart stay... On my Note 2, when I check the smart stay option, I only see the smart stay eye icon when the smart stay is actually looking to see your face... Now, on the Note Tablet, is always there... The icon is always on...

Both on 4.1.2...

OK. But, before I do that, can I count on this fixing my no longer being able to copy files from my tablet to the computer via WiFi? Never seen this issue before.

Yes it is quite drastic. Can't say for certain where things changed but definitely stopped working with 4.3. However, an accidental factory reset might have had something to do with that.

On the the Tab 10.1 the eye icon is always present when you activate smart stay. This is the behavior on stock roms too so it is not a bug in ARHD.

Possible deep sleep issue?

Hi everybody,
Does anyone have this kind of issue with deep sleep? according to cpu spy my gt8000 is not 'sleeping anymore'. unfortunately I can't tell you starting from which release because it's been a while since I've not been, checking thisn but with this last release I decided to get a look at into that and Idid ffind out this problem and I'm also experiencing poor battery life (that's why I suspected something...)

    Mike1986 and i made a Compatibility Pack for all N8010 and N8013 Users.

    What does this Pack?

    1) Change your device name to N8010 or N8013 (depends on what you select in AROMA)
    2) Remove unnecessary files related to telephony and sms
    3) Removing some lcon's from SystemUI (modified SystemUI.apk)
    4) Disable telephone and sms services with modified framework-res.apk
    5) added new Reboot Menu] from N8010 /N8013 without Dataplan Option and 4-Way Reboot Option
    6) added Stock Kernel for N8010 (from CMD2) and N8013 (from CMD3)

    It can be flashed over any ROM based on GT-N8000 XXCML2 firmware.

    A: Please charge your battery to 100%, boot your device in ClockworkMod Recovery and go to Advanced ---> Wipe Battery Stats. Also see Question 7.

    A: This is probably SD card problem. Format your SD card (FAT32 recommended) to gain silky smooth playback.

    Q 3: Is there any alternative for SetCPU? I think it slows downy my devivce.

    A: Probably you removed Google+ application. Just restore it. (Thanks to Hunteres for the solution)

    Q 5: Do I need to wipe data partition when upgrading from old version of Android Revolution HD?
    A: I always recommend wiping data partition but it's absolutely necessary only if I mention that in the changelog. But normally you can live without it.

    Q 6: I have some strange issues with my ROM that nobody reported before. What should I do in first place?
    A: In first place you should check, if the MD5 Checksum is correct. Then flash ROM again and see if the issue is gone. A lot of strange issues can be solved this way.

    Q 7: I had SetCPU installed on Android Revolution HD, then I flashed new version of AR HD and SetCPU doesn't work any more. How to fix it?

    Q 8: I can't send/receive MMS or I can't connect with mobile data connection. How can I fix it?
    A: Please check your MMS settings or mobile data connection APN settings.

    Q 9: My phone got random freezes or reboots. How can I fix it?
    A: Every CPU is different. It seems that your CPU doesn't like OC or UV (undervolt). Set your CPU to default 1GHz.

    Q 10: My GPS signal is very weak or GPS is not working at all. How can I fix it?
    A: There are some solutions:
    1. You can download and install FasterFix to improve your signal strength.
    2. You can download and install GPS Status & Toolbox to manage your GPS settings.
    3. Turn off "Fast boot" under "Settings" ---> "Power" and reboot your phone.
    4. Wipe the EFS data in your device. Read this for further instuctions. This is very effective solution.

    Q 11: My clock/weather widget doesn't show my location. How can I fix it?

    Q 12: My Quadrant score is not as high as on different ROM. What does it mean?
    A: It means absolutely nothing. Benchmarks on Android System are more or less lottery and they are not showing the real system performance.
    There are many settings that can force Quadrant to show more then 3000 points but it's faked performance, that actually can slow down your phone in some circumstances.
    What I always emphasize is a real performance, the one you can feel under your fingers. Remember that I/O has some limit and surpassing it shows just a numbers without true ratio.
    Also keep in mind that Quadrant has support for Android Gingerbread only in version 1.1.7 and higher.

    Q 13: My Wi-Fi doesn't reconnect automatically after boot. How to fix it?
    A: Disable fastboot in settings or check this solution.
