Hey Guys...! Howz u all?
i know ur awesome just check out my new mod Bootx Binary(NOT FROM AOSP).
it plays video of your choice on boot and shutdown with sound!!
gives a silk like feel to android start up and shutdown​
It works even on weak cpus.
Please try the mod and please let me know if it works or not.
Before using this mod please make a copy/backup of your "/system/bin/bootanimation"
Download Zip given in attachment and flash it via CWM.

ALL BOOT VIDEOS CONTAINS SOUNDS !​

It is checked and found working in 4.2.2 Please let me know if it works in others too.

More Description :-

1.It is "bootanimation" binary will be placed in /system/bin

2.Plays MPEG-4 @30fps video more smoothly than H.264(depends on decoder of your phone).If you a have good hardware then you should go with H.264

3.Put MPEG-4 (.mp4) video of compatible resolution in
/system/media/bootx.mp4 (start up video)
/system/media/bootxoff.mp4 (shut down video)

4.Flashable zip contain demo boot/shut videos can be changed easily.


Benefits of using this-
1. Consumes less space than normal huge bootanimation.zip
for ex. if your bootanimation.zip takes 25mb
this mod will take 3-5mb

2. Runs morex2 smoothly than normal bootanimation.

3.Gives silky start up like we always wanted!! :p

Procedure -
Backup your "/system/bin/bootaanimation" First.
1.Download " BootX_Mod_By_abhimortal6.zip " <- Contains Binary This Must Be Flashed First
2.Go to CWM Recovery then Mount System
3.Install zip - " BootX_Mod_By_abhimortal6.zip "
4.Reboot.
5.Hit Thanks

You can replace Videos manually or by Flashing " FL " Zips Given Below

It's working

I'm running 4.2.2 on my Xperia C and it's working like a charm :D for Bootanimation but Shutdown animation seems not working :( . Anyway's it was a great effort,Thanks alot.

check if /system/bin have only one " bootanimation"
b/c your factory " bootanimation" binary may start with capital " B " . if you have then rename it to anything!!.
then delete old .zip shutanimation
from /system/media
also check for "shutanimation" or similar file

Is it me or the Marvel animation isnt between the .zip to be downloaded list? Is there a way to see/hear a preview with sound included? Is there a way to change sound to another one we want?

i'm sorry but this binary is from diff. source not from aosp
and why did u say that without even reading :(
my binary uses single video doesnt uses .zip
and it uses better method for decoding MPEG-4
than aosp's..
