LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Installation:
- Reboot to recovery TWRP (Must be 3.2.0-0 for Oreo based roms) by @SevenMaxs https://xdaforums.com/android/general/recovery-twrp-3-1-1-0-asus-me302kl-t3609759
- Wipe /system, /data and /cache
- Install LineageOS zip package

- Remove SIM card to bypass setupwizard error and complete the setup process.
If SetupWizard continue crashing you can use this walkaround:
1. Boot into TWRP Recovery
2. Mount System ( Mount → check System )
3. Advanced → File Manager
4. Browse to /system/priv-app/Setup-Wizard
5. Delete it
6. Reboot
