[OTA] Full Package and Update (29/09/2011)

Anybody no witch one of these i would install on my device i am in the uk current build is
ACER_A500_7.006.01_COM_GEN1 on stock 3.2

Acer_A500_7.014.01_041.203.01_COM_GEN1

Acer_A500_7.014.14_041.203.01_COM_GEN1

there is one difference in the numbers one is 01 and the other 14

can these be installed as a update just by putting on root of sd card or do i have to be root and have CWM ? hope not as i am on 3,2 no root

I downloaded both and took an md5 hash of both update.zip files. They're identical

They both worked but was no good battery drain on both roms do not no why there was two if they are the same lol oh well will just wait for OTA to be pushed to my device.

The liberty tab is identical to the A500. EUU is for downgrading in APX Mode to root but with ICS Root you don't need to do that really anymore

Hi I noticed some of the files were missing? As well how do I process this? Every time I try it says something like verified failed. Also I have ICS 4.0.3 I want to go back to my 3.1 HC when I first had it.

Somebody please! tell me what to do! Thanks!

Get a stock ICS image, decrypt it, copy it to a MicroSD named update.zip and boot into recovery

Could anyone say what EUU means? Im really new on Iconia. I have a 3.2 version and want do upgrade to ICS.
Do I just put update on SD card and recovery?

EUU = APX Mode (ie hardware failsafe - you'll have fun with this if you need a patched bootloader!) recovery image. EUU packages are leaked by Acer and are flashable if you have your UID (which is getting easier and easier to do)

where do i get this? My tab is in a boot loop. Cant find the stock full ics image. OP link for ics update is not working as well.

To use one of the ICS images from the futuredial URLs you have to decrypt it with the Acer Update Decrypter (like in OP). Then copy the update.zip from inside the decrypted zip onto your MicroSD and boot into recovery. Then you don't need APX Mode unless you want to unlock your bootloader

All i want to do is return to stock. So where do i get the file to decrypt with acer update decrypter? I think i messed up and flashed one of the honeycomb files and i was on ics. Now its bootlooping.

Edit: figured it out. I'm all good to go! Just had to do a hard reset.
