lol matt.... you are killing me here

fill us in on what you have found.... I am already pumped with the today plugin... the more the better....

keep up the good work

ok, ok. So far:

Cool HTC Splash screen.
The plug-in that everyone loves opens by default.
There's a 'fake' extended rom script that runs - I need to remove it (or verify which carrier it's configuring it for)
Long boot up - still have few driver issues - maybe...

Pictures coming in a few...

Here's some pics - nothing really new.

Issues so far:

With the sim in, there's a SIM Lock error "Data Crashes. Please contact your service center. So I pulled the sim card - will address SIM Lock issue later.

Power button doesn't respond after OS has booted. Have to remove battery to kill.

Still playing...

Okay, here's my summary to this point:

There's severe device compatibility issues:

SD not recognized
Hardware buttons not recognized except button 1
SIM Lock issue - unable to run with SIM installed

Other than the "cube" function (which I have not gotten to work), overall it looks just like the Wizard UI with the cab installed.

Due to the overall magnatude of the project, I'm pondering two different avenues:

1. Port full OS and apps to the Wizard hardware
2. Bring over only the "cube" application

Since I don't have anymore time today to play, I'm going to flash back to my 318 build. I'll keep playing, but it's gonna need a lot more attention.

FYI, I got it to run using the XIP and -OS.nb from my 1413 kitchen (newer WM6 version), removed some stuff from /SYS like Office and WL to make room to build.

Here's the default (black) theme from it:

i think your best bet would be to bring the cube over to the wizard. porting the whole OS just seems to me like it would take alot more time.
