well it will not work because that version doesn't support flashing android version 6.0.1, so i would recommend you to flash latest version of twrp for s3 from here- https://dl.twrp.me/i9300/
and, another recommendation is that you should wipe the internal memory to get the decent amount of performance .

Oh, I see... No wonder that the Google service frame isn't originally included in this ROM.
By the way, just a fun thing to mention, I am from Taiwan and can understand simplified Chinese.:laugh: Though of course it's nice of you to make the English version of it. I haven't yet flashed the ROM due to the fact that I'm busy now, and that I'm not sure to flash LineageOS or this ROM.:silly: Anyways, this is indeed a great ROM, and keep up the good work!:victory:

Although it's based on China version of MIUI, it feels like I'm using global version.:laugh: By the way, I just found out that I'm using V2 now, but it seems like it's not a good choice to update... Does anyone have suggestions on weather or not to update to V3.1? Thanks!
PS: The Google app installer kept crashing while I'm using English, but worked fine while I use Chinese (traditional). If you want to use the built-in installer, you can try changing the language to Chinese (but it's better to try it with some understanding of Chinese, though... ).

i would recommend you to flash v3.1 of this rom because it has a great battery life and its tweaked to work perfectly, but one thing to note that i have removed mi cloud services because it drains battery like haywire, so, i would recommend you to flash v3.1.

no it will not work because it is not meant to work with device that you are stating, so try to search on xda for the rom but first convert your device to i9305 and then flash roms made for i9305.

which vesion of this rom have you flashed? to install gapps, you have to use gapps installer app which is provided with the rom.

21For all those who want to install a stable miui 8. here it is . this rom is from an chinese website, at the start it had a lot of bloatware so i had modified the rom and removed all of the bloatware and tried to englishize it. this rom boots up without any problem and does not consume a lot of ram, so feel free to install this rom ! .
Installation Instructions-
! TWRP recovery is recommended !
! Your phone should be charged to 100% !
Download and copy the rom file to SD Card.
Boot into the recovery and take a thorough backup of your current rom incase if anything goes wrong.
After its completed, Wipe cache, dalvik,system and data.
After that, Flash the ROM file which is located in your SD Card .
After its completed, reboot to system.
The first boot may take time so be patient.
Gapps installation [optional but recommended]
The rom contains google installer app so no need of gapps package.
Open google installer app and press the green button and it will check for all the not installed google apps and it will download all of the gapps required and it shows a screen of installation of apps where you have to press on install and wait for some time and repeat this step for installation of other google apps.
After this , it will show some force closes of google play services, so to solve this, go to settings>installed apps>downloaded apps>click on google play services and scroll down until you find Permissions manager and click on it and allow all of the permissions required for it, repeat this step for all of the other google apps until you notice any google apps is not force closing.
After all of these are done, Voila! you can use this rom !
