I managed to get the internal memory working again, just needed wipe data to get back the folders! I even managed to install rom gsi but the zip patch files twrp did not install, gave that error 1
If you try to install this rom gsi you need to install the zip files to boot rom
If you can install let us know here

Very happy with the new ROM.
I had to flash the Magisk zip because su was not working
No more Samsung Apps
Everything working wonderfully except the screen won't switch off and on from my magnetic case.

I have just removed Samsung from my phone using Android9 GSI system-arm64-ab-vanilla-nosu.img following instructions on post #2. This version has no Google Play and no root to start with. Magisk flashed in TWRP to re-gain root without any hassles.
A huge sigh of relief.....no need to flush the phone now. Thanks @physwizz for being the guinea pig yet again

My phone has one, maybe its the camera itself or whatever, but the sensor is there, even if its a virtual one, its registered.
MTP mode for USB has never worked on phh GSI ROMs so far - seems to be common to most or all GSI ROMs at present.

Once i have time, i will download A205G kernel source and build it with that, then i will share it here so you guys can test if MTP is fixed.

9What is GSI?
GSI stands for Generic System Image and will allow you to install an alternative ROM on your Galaxy A20?
No longer will we be restricted to the Samsung ROM.
These ones worked for me. If they don't work for you, go to the list of all GSIs. There are plenty to choose from. Select arm64 ab files.

8Before you Start
1. Make sure your phone is rooted

2. Install TWRP and remove data encryption.

3. Backup only 3 parts: boot, data & system (not system image) onto external SD or usb-otg. If something goes wrong you should be able to restore the phone using TWRP.
4. Also use SMS Backup and Restore so you don't lose your messages or calls.
5. Make sure your Ext SD card is Fat32. I've noticed that GSIs don't recognise ExFat.

1. Begin with stock ROM
2. Reboot into TWRP ( then mount product - system - vendor)
Back boot data and system
3. Wipe both caches, data & system
4. Install GSI

1.-Restore the stock image for boot and vendor
2.-Wipe everything (you could probably keep the internal storage I prefer to delete everything)
3.-Install AOSP 10.0 v200.c arm64-ab from phhusson ( link below)
4.-Resize system partition so you can install OpenGAPPS, go to wipe, advanced wipe, select system, select repair or change file system and select resize file system. If you get error 1 unmount and mount the system partition and try again
5.-Install OpenGAPPS (link below)
6.-Install Modded Magisk by ianmacd (included in zip)
7.-Install Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt (included in zip)
8.-Install Permissiver_v5 (included in zip)
9.-Remove apex-setup.rc from /system/system/etc/init with TWRP File Manager (Advanced/File Manager)
And that did it for me, I also got the August security update from Samsung but i don’t really know if that matters to much.
So far, the major bug that I see it’s the navigation bar, you can enable the gesture navigation but the back gesture doesn’t work, the mobile signal it’s wrong and the other GSI bugs in general (MTP, Auto brightness and Bluetooth calling). I leave some screenshots
