Yep, the day arrived when our lil' device got a Sandwich.

We (expeacer & kamarush) - The W!ckeD Team presents:

ICE CREAM SANDWICH 4.0.3 Alpha v1​

First thing: This is an ALPHA version ROM! It released only to testing, not the daily using. We can't promise full stability and safe working.

Things works:

  • Audio
  • Gsm
  • Wifi
  • Gps
  • Bluetooth
  • 2D/3D
  • Touchscreen
  • Lights
  • Vibration etc..

Bugs:
  • Data
  • Rotation/G-Sensor
  • HW Keyboard lights

Not Working:
  • Camera

Credits goes to:
Cyanogenmod and FXP Team for the CM features.
Special thanks to jerpelea

Please report if you found ANY bug!

Installation guide:

1.) Copy the ZIP to memory card.
2.) Extract the boot.img file from the ZIP. Flash it with Flashtool to your phone via Fastboot
3.) Install the ZIP via ClockworkModRecovery

We WILL make this to the other devices too, like Mini/Active/Live with Walkman!

OK. First thoughts:

The kernel installed OK. When I installed the ROM I got a display saying 'Random offset 0x3e6' in CWM. I'm not sure if that's normal.

Nice boot animation, but now I'm stuck with ICS in landscape mode, even if I click my keyboard open/shut.

p.s. If my earlier post got in the way of your ROM announcements please feel free to have a forum moderator delete it.

That's the rotation bug.

Oh, kamarush, I forgot it mentioned the rotation in the opening post. Never mind. It looks great and the menu's are really slick. Sometimes if I mess around with the launchers I can get portrait for a short while.

First point. There's no file manager included for me to install apps from SD, so I try to do it in Terminal but Terminal won't allow me to use the blue square shift key on the keyboard to enable special characters. So I can't use Terminal for install. Gonna try installing Root Explorer from my PC.

By the way, my keyboard lights seem to be working OK.

Turn off auto-rotate screen in settings -> display to leave landscape mode :)

Edit: Guess that only works until you leave the menu.

Over in the FreeXperia thread they say that they have data working from some networks, but not for others.

So I thought I'd manually enter my APN details. I got it all typed in but when you hit the menu button and then save it doesn't store the APN. The list of APN's stays blank. I tried this twice but no joy.

Any idea when we might get data working?

If data worked I could use this ROM daily, even if it is buggy.

Quite different from CM9 and this one does't have glitches ;)
I would recommend this one to have at this moment instead of FXP103 CM9
BUT still need lots of work to finish and many touches to this built to get stability .... Waiting for more fixes :)

I said, the porting isn't problem; but asking for permission is the first thing, if you want to work on that thing what NOT you made.
I didn't heard so far i'm sorry for that, can i make a port or something else....
Just "don't bother". So maybe think about first...

So what's the Mini?

Why postpone listening to the mini?

Great. A big step closer to a working ROM. :D

How are you fellas getting on with the 3G/data bug? Any chance it could be fixed this weekend?
