I like my main desktop in portrait, cuz it's easier to hold the tablet that way with one hand.
Obviously 10 x 10 is too much, but 5 from top to bottom is ridiculous holding the phone in portrait.
PS: I'm glad Android is so open so people can customize however they want, unlike Apple who decide how everything should be for you - take it or leave it.
I'm a big fan of GO SMS due to the options they give for blacklisting incoming apps and setting personalized notifications on a contact by contact basis.
Having said that, I installed Go launcher tab version and it's OK. But, after a week or so I'm back on ADW which is, for me, much better and faster. The speed thing might all be in my head but GO seemed laggy and sluggish.

It's nice, clean and looks well designed but it crashed, not a force close, a lot on rotation for me.

It's pretty amazing how ALL THE CUSTOM LAUNCHERS are way way way WAY BETTER then the stock one... just AMAZING!!!

Adw launcher is not worth it, their last update was in december :s, go launcher pad on the other hand gets updates biweekly and seems to be more genuine/suitable for the galaxy tab 7.7
From what I have read it will work on HC and ICS but its for tablets only. Note apparently is considered a tablet?
But gingerbread tablets still not gonna run go launcher hd...
For phones better use normal go launcher. More customizable options except the dock is limited to 5 buttons.

2I use ADW.EX, which is definitely worth the buy. It runs smoothly, and doesn't have any bugs I've come across. I haven't tried GO Launcher so I don't know what features you require in your launcher, but I've been comfortable with ADW for a long time now.
If you look around here, lots of people use the tab as their phone. For me, even though it fits in pocket (at least, for most of my pants), it's still big enough that it feels awkward, and I don't want to step up to carrying a murse around, so it's normal phone for me, plus tablet as needed.11could someone please share the apk file?

IP widget is called wifi widget by ken burger I think...available in market
