Has anyone else had issues with My Verizon? I know a lot of people on xda have unlimited data so accurately monitoring data isn't an issue but I unfortunately don't have unlimited data and so My Verizon is crucial. Whenever I launch the app it says I'm missing the login client. I've tried un installing and re-installing to no avail. I have no idea what is going wrong.

I just got my Rezound and am going to unlock/root this weekend. Gonna go with this ROM, looks sick!!

I was just wondering in regards to battery life if it's improved at all. I'm actually getting pretty good juice right now and wanted to ask.

I believe it's been stripped from this rom and can't be used since it requires the sso engine apk if I'm not mistake. that system app was taken out as part of the debloating proces

You can always download "My Verizon" directly from the market... oh accuse me Play Store.

The supporting apps have been removed so downloading it from market will result in the error indicated.

I did not have any plans on supporting Verizon apps or making a patch for it but considering your circumstances I will make a patch and post it so you can track data. I feel that is a reasonable request. It will, however not be backed into the ROM but left as a patch in the CleanROM folder going forward. I will try to get to it in a few hours when I get off work then I need to keep working on some Thunderbolt stuff...

Those that dont know I had a Thunderbolt donated and released the first version of CleanROM 1.0 for it. Its tight! Check it out!

Some people have great battery others horrific. ICS is hit or miss for some. My overall battery run time did diminish but is not worth even noting. Other people have had improved RUN time while others have had significantly decreased.

At this point I think its minor variations in hardware, reception, towers, etc. But I have never figured out an exact answer as to why. And I am sure HTC is trying to figure it out too, lol

Hope that helps. Oh and you can always go back to GB as well.

That's weird, I have no problem using the My Data widget. Scott, you said you removed the widget from the ROM? I must've used Titanium Backup to restore the widget... Anyway, to get the widget to work, all you have to do is attempt to open the My Verizon app while on wifi. That used to be a fix for a different problem and it worked for me just yesterday.

The update to My Verizon does use Wifi to sign on. 3G and 4G sign on had 300 error.

    • Select Change Setup-Method -> netd (master)
    • Select Enable WiFi-Encryption -> Your Choice
    • Select Routing Fix

    There are 4 ways to install CleanROM Developer Edition 1.4

    NOTE: If you are not S-OFF or on ICS Firmware you will need to download the Extra's and place them on the root of your SD Card BEFORE you flash the ROM! They are no longer included in the ROM file itself!

    Alternate Kernels​

    I have created a flashable 3.13.607.5 Kernel and a flashable 3.14.605.5 Kernel for the ROM.

    Some people feel that the 3.13.607.5 kernel gave better battery and cooling than the latest kernel.

    Feel free to download and test for yourself!


    These are in old school method as to make one simple step for everyone. This also resets mainver to 1.00.000.0 :D


    Instructions
    1. Download to root of SD Card
    2. Reboot to Recovery
    3. Flash Zip
    4. Phone will reboot to hboot
    5. Press power one time so it will scan the SD Card
    6. Install boot.img when prompted
    7. Reboot when prompted

    Updated 4/8/12
    • Place ROM on SD Card
    • Reboot to recovery
    • Wipe all data / Factory reset - Do not restore anything from back up. Do not ask in the thread if you can. You will be referred back to here!
    • Flash ROM. When ROM Completes you will have the option to install old firmware patch if needed. It will be located on the SD Card in the CleanROM Folder.
    • Now you will need to manually boot to bootloader. Do this by selecting Reboot to Bootloader via the Recoveries Development Menu (Amon Ra).
    • Device will then boot to fastboot when installation is complete
    • Press Power to install the kernel / boot.img
    • Reboot
    • Profit!

    Set up will not allow you to configure any accounts. Configure them when Setup completes!
    You have to unlock the lockscreen to see the incoming caller ID!
    Does not support any Verizon Apps or Sense Widgets!
    Launcher Shortcut for MMS needs to be re-added after initial set up!
    Some of the tweaks in Scott's Tweaks will not work because the require Sense! Example: Smooth Rosie
