Here is my setting for Viper. I want you guys to try it out and comment. I must admit that I am a basshead so you might find this a little heavy on the bass side. Any suggestions or tweaks would be welcome.

Can anyone running the stock ROM on the Nexus 5 share their setup? Viper refuses to stick for me, i.e. the effects don't apply despite the service running. I've tried forcing V4A and using compatible mode. Neither make a difference. When I try using TiBu to convert it to a system app, it just hangs and never finishes. I moved the apk manually to the system apps folder and it still had issues sticking.

Why don't you use my settings just posted above. They are specifically for the bassheads.

That's weird. Seems like you have tried almost everything. Why don't you disable/freeze the stock Equalizer using TiBu and use Viper in the normal mode as a system wide effect. Maybe It could work. That's how I got it to work. Previously It didn't stick for me either.

There are users who have got it running on both 4.4.1 and 4.4.2

Try this

Master power : On
PGC gain : On
Effect strength : slight
Max gain : 1x
Max output : - 1.9 db

FIR Equalizer : pic below
Convolver : Dolby Pro Logic II

Differential surround : On
Delay Time : 5ms

Headphone surround : On
Effect level : 2

Viper Bass : On
Bass mode : Pure Bass+
Bass frequency : 60 hz
Bass boost : 14.0 db

Viper clarity : OZone+
Clarity : 14.8 db

Cure Tech : On
Binaural level : Slight

Things I didn't mention just disable them. Here is the pic. Btw try them with xposed framework with 30 steps volume module. Or else may be a bit loud. And try Atrium by Fractal. The bass just pounds in your ear so nice. Find them on YouTube.

I have adjusted everything but I just can't adjust the equalizer to the right values in the picture.

Also, I can't seem to find the Dolby IRS anywhere, could you point me to the download link?

Basically what I changed is that I disabled playbackACG because it's causing a lot of static through my headphones. I lowered the +7.1 bank on the equalizer, gave a 10% cross channel on the convolver, enabled field surround because I like the sound to "curve" around my headphones instead of going right through them, disabled differential surround, enabled reverb with 10% on both wet signal and dampening factor, enabled dynamic system because the bass really hits super hard with it on, I had to change the Fidelity Control, I had to change the Bass Mode to Natural Bass because it sounded like there was a high pass filter applied on it.

All these were change and tested with a Pioneer HDJ-1000 so I had the volume up pretty high.

Yep. Downloading right now. Gonna try out all of them and tweak them.

I'm kindda sensitive to the lows, mids and highs maybe 'cause I DJ a lot at home haha.

I listen to a lot of Progressive House, EDM, Dubstep, Glitch Hop, Trance Step and Epic Steps that have like 1 - 2 hour mixes and after that I feel dizzy a bit haha because of all the basses.

I have desire x & its rooted! It says supersu & su binary not find when I try everytime to install its driver..!(though the supersu grants access everytime)... I have even flashed the supersu again..! Still no changes.
It is not working for me.

I'm running Stock ROM KOT49H kitkat 4.4.2 with franco kernel r199 on my Nexus 4

Using Spotify audio effects works only on some playlist and some songs..

I can enable and disable V4A-FX and hear the change happening but on some songs and some playlist, its seems like the V4A-FX just dead, enabling and disabling it without anything happening to the sound..

help please..

I installed viper4android 2.1.3.5 and it works fine but the folder for viper is not on sdcard. Where do I locate the viper folder?
