Does anyone else have the "maps" icon constantly showing in the recent apps notification area? On my install, it shows that its the Network Location Service, but I don't recall ever having seen it on any other ROM, either Virtuous or otherwise. What gives?

I just found a solution too my WiFi battery drain problem. I'm using D-Link 655 router and in advanced wireless settings, there's one called DTIM Interval. I changed it from 1 to 8 and now WiFi uses battery normally.

I learned about this from this link. Hope it can help others too.

No, in fact I find this rom the best for battery imo. Miui and cyanogenmod lasted just a bit longer, as well as icecoldsandwich, but not that much longer. I keep coming back to this because of the battery.
What kernel are you using? Sleep/wake frequencies??

I also have very good battery life with VA 2.05.0. Probably some apps/services drain your battery. Besides, certain Wifi router setting can affect your battery life severely. You can read my previous thread for more.

Agreed, amazing battery life here too. Especially coming from the latest RevolutionHD which seems really bad for battery life.

Mic in calls does not work for :( me but gps lock was in 10 sec :) with navigon 3.61 :)

p.s. I do like sense 3.6 more than sense 4.0

Ringtone trimmer

was thought the ringtone trimmer not available in Virtuous Affinity 2.05.0, but found it only for some songs not able to use ringtone trimmer

Been on Affinity for a while now and find it hard to use anything else, great work guys!!

Looking forward to the ICS rom once you get everything working ;)

    Virtuous Affinity is based on an official shipping release for Runnymede from HTC (1.05.401.4).
    The entire ROM is brand new, taking no application or framework components from any prior releases.

    Affinity is the result of a collaborative, team effort by the following developers:

    Features

    Recommended radio:
    There can't be a recommend radio because there are to many aspects regarding radios. Some radios which are working good for ones can't work for you. So if you are expecting problems you should try different ones.
