but i think that double tap drain more battery in standby

I thought that too but some very respective developers explained that's not true.

That's why it's kernel feature and not only app which would constantly monitor your movement.

To be honest, I'm not sure how that code is written but Tablet Z owner confirmed it won't drain much more battery than any other feature...

Another Tablet Z owner here. Depending on the case, battery drain is close to zero overnight with that feature on.

My best test was when I went to sleep with 60%, I think, and woke up 6h30 after with the same amount of battery. It needed the alarm to ring and a bit of use to drop a %

Here's the proof. 'Tap To Wake Up'

I love this on my LG G2, i think every phone should have this feature.

My Tablet Z, which has the double tap feature, drains 2% battery overnight which is as much as my Z1, so I don't think battery is affected by the double tap feature.

That's true but still the tablet z does have a 6000mah battery and its probably only wifi(don't know what's your model)

We are comparing kernel feature "knock to wake".
Of course if there's no 3g or LTE battery will hold longer but that doesn't have anything to that function we are talking about.

If your Z1 battery last for a 24 hours it'll last 24 hours with that function if it last 15 hours it will last 15 hours with that function as well - that's the punch line...

It won't be that much of a difference look at the g2
If it would be an app ok
But it will be a kernel feature and if the software is edited good to work right and well with that feature i think max battery you should lose is 10 percents of the 100 probably even less

@iRimas

The screenshots of UI in lockscreen were like in any other 4.3 Xperia... Then you uploaded screenshots with different battery icon, lockscreen...
Did you mod the UI? I don't think that Sony will change the cool Lockscreen animation and battery icon...

The white icons on the notification area are part of the 4.4 KitKat update as Google wants it just to be white. The difference on the post of iRimas is that, as you can see, the music scrubber will also be included on the lockscreen and it's not present on 4.3. Also the camera icon on 4.3 is on the right side of the clock while on 4.4 it's at the bottom which seems like the access to the camera is the same as with the iOS 7. You have to swipe the camera icon upwards to launch it from the lockscreen.

I'm still concerned about Sirius for having 16GB only.. I hope they don't do it and launch it with 32GB instead at least... I hope these 16GB are only in the prototypes

I'm not sure if anyone has already noticed this but the wallpapers of 4.4 are the same with the wallpapers of 4.3, colors are just the difference. See the collage I made for your reference. The white of 4.4 is just the reversed side of the violet.
