I just got PIE update in beta program in USA Verizon Unlocked Note 8

I just finished the install of Android Pie in the USA the beta program is live and update only takes about 10mins

So I'm looking in the Samsung + app and dont see the signup page. I'm on Verizon.

Just joined and it's downloading now.

Some tips for others, open Samsung+ & join the beta program, then go to settings and software update on the phone (not in Samsung+ app) and manually check for updates.

Worked for me on an unlocked Note8 on Verizon network

whenever i click to register, it just takes me to homescreen of the app. what should i do now?

Go check for the update in settings. I flashed the unlocked firmware to my T-Mobile note and received it. If flashing the unlocked firmware make sure you flash the csc file and not home csc. That's the mistake I initially made. But after flashing with the regular csc I unregistered and re-registered. Then the update came right away.

I flashed XAA unlocked on my SPRINT G955U. I think that is the mistake. Now I am downloading the unlocked Sprint firmware. Hope to get beta by using CSC file in patched odin.

What version of the Samsung+ app are you using that shows the beta? I'm running 10.21.2.0 on a N950U1 and am not seeing the beta registration option.

Samsung+ 11.5.0.1

Thank you! I checked the Play Store and wasn't getting the updated app. I signed up for the beta version of Samsung+ and was able to get the registration link.

Ok cool. But if do that will all LTE features still work as intended? Does anything get broken?

No it doesn't break anything. All the US Note 8s are identical hardware-wise. They all support the same bands.

The only thing you will lose is WiFi calling and VoLTE (unless you're on T-Mobile).

You can search for and find the N950U1 files easily. SamFirm is just the easiest and fastest way to do it.
