Hi all,
Offers for cases for One S are limited to non-existent. I guess new cases will appear shortly but I don't feel like taking the risk of my new phone falling and breaking its screen. Also, when you put the phone face down on the table, screen is actually touching the surface any a grain of sand or salt could scratch it.
So, what are the present solutions you have found? For information, I am actually using a Muzzano "the S" case that is in the same time hard enough and literally bouncing off the floor.

Well a case normally only is able to protect the phones case itself. the display is not protected. In case of the One S, HTC claims that it does not nead any additional protecting case, since the unibody is ultra hardened and almost impossible to be scratched by accident.
i suggest the best solution is to use a display foil and trusting an mobiles case for the first time. :D this is a chance to keep the phone slim and stylish without living with fear permanentely :p

Nope, the case protects mainly the screen, because if the phone lands on the edge it will prevent the screen from breaking. Believe me, I found it the difficult way with my first HD2 long time ago.

That Mofi one is quite nice. Will certainly do until Sena release one. :)

Sorry, I can't post links yet, but if you go on Amazon's UK site and search for Checknet Accessories, they've got some pretty nice pull-up leather pouches for the One S.

Mofi pouch hopefully on the way. I used one with my Desire and loved it, and picking it again is an easy choice :D

(Thanks to the One S's thinness it actually fits into the Desire Mofi pouch, but it is too long to allow the case to be closed)

I think that the best way to protect your phone is here and here

Dont think i'd want to put a cover on my phone, i'd go as far as a screen protector and a sock type thing to keep it in on nights out. It too sleek to bulk up with a clip on case.

Saying that having read and contributed to a thread about the casing chipping off in the general thread not so sure now!

I've just ordered the OneS and I'll do what I do with every new phone, get the cheapest case I can until I find one I really like. There are a couple on Amazon for £3, plus I'll get a couple of screen protectors. I learned the hard way with an XDA (years ago) when I scratched the screen the second day I had it... The screen protectors hadn't arrived yet.

Better safe than sorry, especially when the phone is on a 24 month contract!

XDA Sucks !
I dont think ill be investing in a case... Maybe some screen protectors, Although its gorilla glass, I still dont believe its scratch proof.

I read somewhere online that HTC say 'The phone has been so well built that it does not require any sort of protection accessories'

Impressive, but you can never be too sure ;)

When I was looking for a german dealer of the mofi case, I found a page that also lists the interior dimensions of the bag.

Link was also in here, but have to delete becuase it´s my first post. :/

The interior dimensions listed for the bag were: 136 x 72 x 9mm
So the HTC One S should easily fit into here. ( 131 x 65 x 8mm )

And the dealer says that this case fits for all following smartphones:

- Apple 3G / 3GS
- HTC ChaCha, HTC 7 Trophy, HTC 7 Pro, HTC Desire Z, HTC HD7, HTC HD2, HTC Incredible S
- LG P990 Oprimus Speed, LG P970 Optimus Black
- Samsung i9000 Galaxy S, Samsung i9001 Galaxy Plus, Samsung i9100 Galaxy S2

So you don´t have to buy a HTC One S specific one, just a case for one of the listed smartphones, and perhaps that´s cheaper for you. Just a tip for interested.

The guy on eBay selling the Mofi pouches has apologised saying they are still trying to get best fit for the One S with it being new, so I can keep the small pouch (which I've given to my sister for her smaller HTC) and they are going to send out a bigger replacement for free. Good service. :)
