It doesn't work for me. And I also had the huge cpu usage after closing the app until I restarted the phone.

I have a suggestion. You know how the WifiKiller app is able to detect the card manufacturer? For e.g. "Apple Computer" would show up with the ipaddress? Is it possible to implement something like this

Ohh ok, then that's the problem, I'm on gingerbread. For any other I9001 user, don't bother, it doesn't work.

OP: I'm a network administrator and someone showed me this and I don't understand how it works.. how do I prevent people from doing this sort of thing on my network? Pretty sure this is on the same lines as WifiKill if I'm correct? The device use arp and pretends to be the router?

atm faced up with this issue "a MAJOR CPU hog AFTER it has been closed. I understand it using a large amount of CPU during its activity.. but after i exit it continues to keep CPU at 100% until i reboot... "" but if you want to use this app and dont want to have this issue- you will need to make reboots after you have used that app.

I saw this on the market about 3 weeks ago... I think it's tremendous fun.

I usually have to be using a laptop booted with backtrack to do this stuff (and backtrack on the Android needs 3GB on your SD card).

Although I have not attempted it, I remember thinking when I downloaded it that it would certainly provide an afternoon of fun on a rainy Sunday at Starbucks. I did however take it to a small local coffee shop where I know everyone and tried it, but it had login portal based access to the internet to protect it from bad guys hacking/stealing other people's laptops. I didn't think it would matter since it is ARP based, but the portal must encrypt the connection between the AP and the laptops.

So I have only used it once. I was at a friend's house and he was using his laptop and I was on my phone (both using his wifi) watching TV. As nonchalantly as possible and while still talking with him (so as to make him think I was not doing much with my phone except looking up movie trivia or on Google+) I redirected all his browser requests to pornhub.com. In about a minute he went nuts trying to figure out why his internet was "f*cked up". I was losing it as well....I even had to leave the room because I was trying so hard not to laugh. After he had enough torment, I FC the app. It went back to normal and finally told him what I did. He was astonished, and I tried to explain to him how it worked... He knows I am into pen-testing, etc., so he half-heartedly listened. But when I told him it was just an Android app, he said "cool!! Can I get it on my iPhone?"

    Yeah...check the App Store.

Sent from my HTC One-S (rooted), stock ROM

If you download it might me cool to mirror the APK. I predict this is removed within 2 days by Google :(
