What are the advantages of engineering boot loader over .86?

-system info on hboot.

That wall of text can be intimidating. You just need to install 3 programs, load files, and execute, simple.

Cant save APN for my network. Anything different than MNC 03 just disappear. #My bad, it hides MNC not supported by carrier. And just to say, 3G on 2100 works.

Hey Grankin, thanks again for all your hard work and quick replies...I have to unroot and send my phone back, but I'm unsure what to type in this area, please help...thanks
Now run the "dd if=/where/your/part7backup-numbers.bin of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p7" and it should show the output:
xxxx bytes in
xxxxbytes out
xxxxxxxxxx copied in blah blah blah
my part7backup is on my sd card named Originalpartbackup7, so would I type
"dd if=/sdcard/Originalpart7backup-numbers.bin of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p7 ?
Thanks again

Nice. Im new too and have been looking heavily into going this way.

Figured if your going to root, do it the "right" way.

Thanks for your feedback.

I need some feedBack on this whole rooting s=off and unlock thing. My MAIN question is; after doing the processes posted By the OP. Will it unlock data on the phone; example I have the grandfathered "19.99 BB BIS Add-on unlimited internet", it currently does not work with my mytouch 4g, it gives me an error screen when i try to access the weB. I called TMO and they want me to switch to there 30 Bucks a month plan. Is that really necessary or will doing steps By OP tweak my phone to work?

Story/Proof
I just recently switched to the mytouch 4g from sony xperia x10i (unBranded, Band 1700/2100). The xperia x10i worked perfectly fine with the internet package I had for 19.99, full weB, market, apps. So I am pretty sure that it is not my internet package, as with the xperia x10i I was getting the so called 4g speeds (has H at the top). I am thinking it is all the extra crap TMO puts on the phone to lock down the internet to a specific setting...

I can provide more info if neccesary, feedBack would Be appreciated

Thanks in advance!!
