New mVu Website
In preparation of the next release of mVu, I've also created a new website for mVu.

You can find the new site at http://bik2000.appspot.com.

I've already got some screenshots of the updated UI layout on there, as well as a list of some of the new features that you can expect in the next version.

This is actually a bug that I just realized last week. When I was getting YouTube results, I was getting the link for the next available format. For instance, if the results looked something like:

FORMAT, URL
-------------
5, URL1
17, URL2
34, URL3
35, URL4

Rather than return URL1 for format 5, I was returning URL2 and so on. This also meant that the last format (1080p) always returned that it was unavailable even when it was.

This is fixed for the next version.

How about a way to resume interrupted downloads? I'm on cdma so if i get a phone call or loose reception the download will get a .net error and will not resume, however, if i pause it and make a phone call, then resume it will work.

Not sure why you get a .NET error. Do you know the specific error?

Have you tried re-downloading the same file, and when it asks you if you want to replace the existing file, say no. It should then pick up the download from the last point.

New Version - mVu - 1.0.0.0
Well it's been almost 3 months since the last update, and I've been busy.

Version 1.0.0.0 is now available. You can get the latest version at http://bik2000.appspot.com.

You will also find a complete list of the features and fixes in this version at http://bik2000.appspot.com/history.htm.

Some of the highlights include:
  • UI redesign
  • Added Dailymotion
  • Added YouPorn
  • Added ability to extract audio (MP3 or AAC) from FLV videos

I've jumped to version 1.0.0.0, and consider this a non-beta version. I'll call it a release candidate for now, and see what you guys find.

Hope you enjoy!

The new version doesn't work for me; each time i open mVu, opera mobile starts and load nothing. I had to kill opera, and when i clicked on "search", opera started again.

My default browser isn't opera mobile, but opera mini. It's strange.
I've a HTC touch cruise on WinMo 6.1
