Go to your settings/sound settings and you can turn off audible touch tones and audible selection, you can also uncheck the haptic if you'd like or just turn down the vibration intensity
yeah, the Samsung Keyboard is controlled by the System Volume slider under Sound Settings-Volume.

ever since i installed this leak(which I am loving)i can no longer mount my sd card to my car's stereo and use it as an mp3 player. worked like a charm using superclean.09 with DJ05. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sure you checked the obvious: Settings > USB Settings > Media Player/Mass Storage/Ask on Connection ..USB debugging has the be turned off for this to work.
sure have. tried it with both usb debugging on and off, tried all the options-Settings > USB Settings > Media Player/Mass Storage/Ask on Connection
with debugging off, it doesnt do anything.
with it on, it tries to connect, but after 20-30 seconds i get a connection failed message on my carradio display.
Having issues with Corporate Email. Think I read someone else is too, but no fix. It hits the Exchange Server, notifies me that it requires new security settings and everything passes just fine. Thing is it never receives an email, calender, or contact (trying for past 8hrs) No error messages either. Anyone else? Any suggestions? Anyone get Corporate Email on an Exchange Server to work for them?

I have my work e-mail synced using exchange 2010 and I also have my hotmail setup via corporate account. hotmail doesnt push out any security settings though.
I did not need to do anything special for either setup.
Same with me and I was on DJ05 with the old green CWM. I didn't wipe anything except for the Dalkvik data and I haven't had any issues, all of my apps and contacts were still there with their settings including all of my emails in K9. The only thing that was not working were the widgets in ADW but that took a second to fix.
The longest process from downloading the file to I had my phone exactly as it was in 2.1 was actually downloading the file. 15 minutes top from start of download until I had my phone with all the apps and contacts.
Soooo if it works for me I do not change it. If it doesn't then I do.

I stopped using spare parts cuz mine was running at 100% too. But the battery seems fine. After 7.5 hours I'm at 65% after moderate use. Not sure if Spare parts isn't working for 2.2 or if 2.2 manages system a little different.

edit: just installed battery history from market and it is now showing running @ 38%......

must be something else, I have had DL30 installed since it was posted and my spare parts says 21% running, and I have used spare parts on other 2.2 phones without trouble
From stock recovery choose the update.zip. If you installed CWM properly that will launch it.
this may be a stupid question but how do you remove an apk from \system\app i tried it using astro and it wouldnt let me i want to fix the flash on the froyo by downloading from the market.

Here it is, the official Samsung Verizon Fascinate DL30 Froyo rom!
This rom has ALL the VZW/Sammy bloatware included, unedited, and unchanged.
The only addition is that this rom is pre-rooted.
All bugs in this rom are courtesy Samsung, not myself and as such I will be providing NO support on this rom whatsoever. I'm not going to fix anything thats broken, and I will not make it better. If you want that, go look at JT1134 or myself's Froyo AOSP/CM6 roms.

Flash with CWM, both the DJ05 and DL09 radios work.

7For anyone flashing this rom, do not use wifi tether unless you are paying for it. There is apparently a new snooping mechanism built in along with the kernel. I would recommend to either sign up for service, or wait for someone to publish a workaround.

This is *NOT* the Froyo rom that was leaked on IRC earlier this week. That was a build for a different phone. This is the VZW DL30 release.1
Welcome to android, first and foremost. To answer question 1., yes you will void your warranty by rooting your phone. But it's worth it imo, or you could wait a few days/week or so and i'm sure Verizon will release the froyo OTA. Because most of the other SGS phones have stock OTA froyo now. So it's really up to you. And this rom here is actually old now, so if you were gonna flash anything i would flash EB01 or wait and see if anything else comes out.
