Dusk

5 mill views, that is amazing. Congratulate NRGZ28 :)

Here is the Download link for the vga Dusk theme.

Haven't heard from grzegorz10, so there will not be
a thread for this. So this one goes to all of you, and just
for vga for now.

Extra:
Eyeball_Toogle_Switch

Updates:
New HTCVolumeControll.dll

Hope that those of you installing this theme will enjoy it.

My recommendation is one with CHT 2.0.
I used: Energy.RAPHAEL.28244.Sense2.5.Cookie.2.0.sencity.Feb.01.7z
But I believe it will work on any vga ROM, except maybe Max.
(don't know what manila structure Max used)

Hope that this will help u choose :)

I have no clue about cleanram but I have had some experience with memory managers. Is there an option for exceptions or exclusions, kind of like the ameba program?

Hi R^7Z,

There is a section in CleanRAM for exceptions, but when i ran the program with the exceptions turned on, I get the same thing with the dialer not formatted correctly. I am using Level 3 (which is maximum clean). I did manage to put it on level 2 and it seemed to do the trick. I liked it on Level 3 because it freed up a little more RAM, but it isn't an issue. I usually have it on Level 2 for performance optimization. I left the setting on level 2 so the dialer is not affected. If you have not used it I would say to check out the program.

thanks for your response! Greatly Appreciated!

thanks. that's what I picked and it seems to be working fine.
a few things:
- in the dial pad, I don't have that nice green hue on the "talk" button
- the buttons ("keypad","end",etc...) don't have the them applied - they don't look like the pictures you have on your post
Is there a way to update the phone skin?

last thing, which is not specific to that theme though, is: is there a way to hide the tabs?

Not 100% on the theme deal as I have yet to install it.
If you are using the sencity version with CHT2.0, you will need to run CHTEditor and the setting you are looking for is under Miscellaneous and look for Retractable slider. I'm guessing this is what you are looking for.

Glad I could help!
@TKETZ196
I usually just restart Sense if I feel the need for more ram. I've also noticed that from time to time, some programs end themselves automagically; kind of like a self-kill time out (I'm guessing). As an alternative, I have considered using THIS app but I haven't had an actual use for it, yet :D

To get the full dialer you have to manually put the two phcanimage.dll files into the windows folder of your phone.
Step by step:
Open Task manager (You will find it in the Tools folder)
and close/kill the phcanvga.exe
Take the two files and copy them over to your phone,
to a place you will find them.
use Total Commander to move them into the windows folder on your phone: Open Total Commander and locate the two files.
Highligt the two files - easy if you enable ctrl (bottom of TC)
Then press "Files" -->"Copy/Move" -->"Tree" -->
Choose the Windows folder -->Ok -->Move.

To have the CHT Softkeys like shown in the screenshot:
Open CHTE -->Softkeys -->Enable CHT softkeys -->Scroll down to
"Key assignments" and rearrange as u please. Softkey 3 you choose
"StartMenu" and Softkey 4 "Menu"
If you now have a black background going over your wallpaper at the bottom, You have to choose a background for your Hometab.
Press "Menu" -->"Choose Wallpaper" -->The first one is the one you
have to change.
Then of course for CHT Lockscreen and All Tabs.

Hope this explain it :)

I take it you can't just install the cab or are you demanding for NRG to upload/cook faster? Kind of rude if you ask me, even though that is probably not the intent but it does seem kind of rude from the outsiders perspective. :)
I know it's asking too much but just have a little more patience my friend... ;)

The cab works like a charm for those of us who are hesitant! :D Unfortunately, I have to wait till I make it back home from work to try out your newest creations; I know I won't be disappointed! ;) :p
Thanks as always!
Interesting new avatar also... Caught me by surprise when I was digging around your thread earlier, thought I was in a Teal ROM thread  :)

Try out the new volume control in the 28244 ROMs. HTC volume should work on them.. except in a phone call.

Been using it all day.

The volume buttons work in a call, it just doesn't use the HTC Volume Control.

Very nice to see the HTC Volume Control in the 6.5.3 ROMs for System and Ring.

All,
If you go to the settings page, then select Sounds and Display, then turn Single Volume to on, you can have the singel volume control for system and ring.

Flash of Energy.RAPHAEL.28244.Sense2.5.Cookie.2.0.Feb.14.7z

Flash of Energy.RAPHAEL.28244.Sense2.5.Cookie.2.0.Feb.14.7z

I flashed this this morning before work through USB. Removed SIM and Storage Card.

Did some basic tests before running XDA_UC.

Alll looked good. Like seeing the HTC Volume Control.

Issues:
Long Press of PTT visually looks like it can be mapped through start->Settings->Buttons, but, the long ptt does not execute what it says.

G-Sensor does not rotate apps automatically, such as Calculator and Google Maps.

Contact Page has the dark red issu

Solutions:
Install Tarkim's key remapper. Allows mapping of anything. I map Single PTT to Lock, Double PTT to Comm Manager, Long PTT to Camera, and single PTT when camera is running to take a picture. Then FN-C to Ctlr-C, FN-V to Ctrl-V. See Post #6 for a link.

Install ChangeScreen to handle G-Sensor rotations. See Post #6 for a link

Install the transparent fix by Swiss420. Don't use the dpad on this screen. Press the SIP twice to cause it to color properly after dpad use.

Additonal Things I add:
Album Facebook integration - It is cooked into the Tilt2. For the Raphael, it needs to be installed. Easy enough to do. See post #6.
Program Tab and 4 colum modification.
WiFi-NoStandby.cab - keeps Wifi on when screen shuts off
FF Nokia SUPL AGPS.reg - gives greatly improved GPS performance
Digicast Solutions - Snooze options.cab - give various snooze times when alarm goes off.
Voice Command
Weather City Editor 3.7, which will look up the AccuWeather codes for you.
WinMoSquare
CHT State Links
CookiePeopleQuickLinkFixer - fixes quicklink and free links that are contacts after a flash and sync with exchange.
FB2OutlookSync - Search for threads started by me. - this syncs the FB contact pic to the outlook contact pic.

I'll add more later and update this with links to all software. But, i am working now and tonight is Valentine's day, so it probably won't be updated until tomorrow night.

ROM is about as perfect as a ROM can be.

Bug Found (Found Feb 15, 2011 at about 10:AM CST):
Voice Mail is not setup for AT&T. Need to find the appropriate AT&T Voice mail number to enter in at
Start->Settings->Personal-Phone
Tab -> Services
Select voice Mail and Text Messaging
Press Get Settings.
I do not know what to enter for the number here.
I am popping my SIM back into my Tilt 2 to see what the value should be.
Before flashing, check to see what your value is, so that you can enter it after flashing.
I think it is supposed to retrieve this from the network. I found the value on my Tilt 2 and it is a local number for the Minneapolis / Twin Cities area of Minnesota. No point in posting it here, since it will be different across the country and world and different for each carrier.
Last reprots in this thread of this were February of 2010. Kind of funny. I'm sure it is just coincidence. Back then a soft resset fixed it forpeople. I did that 3 times, and it did not. ENtering the old value worked perfectly though.

Thank you, NRGZ28, for the good work. You forgive us for our impatience - every time we can not wait for the new release! We're your fans!

On the subject: a very nice release. You wrote earlier that soon will be the final release of the firmware, I will tell you, as someone who constantly monitors your releases - you came to the final release is very close. I, for one who is constantly complaining about something - now there are no questions. Everything is fast and not buggy.

As usually happens in this case - when you have achieved something and doing it perfectly and without errors - you have to switch to something else, again, to learn again to make and correct mistakes ... It's a bit sad, but it allows the person not to relax, be in shape to keep up with time ...

Sorry for such a little sad post ... But the light at the end of the tunnel there - you can just buy the HD2 and again to care for your release ...

We are with you! Be bold, create, and we'll check it with pleasure!

Welcome to the "EnergyROM" thread !

This development thread is for my "Energy" custom firmware series for the HTC Touch Pro (Raphael) device.

The current build numbers and date can be seen in the title of this thread. I usually update the ROMs about twice a week, as new builds come down the pipe or as new software/updates are available.

I build my ROMs with four main goals.

    • Eye candy ( I want my ROM to look great and for it to all flow together nicely)
    • Speed !!!
    • Smoothness, consistency and good aesthetics
    • Stability through private beta testing before public release

I pre-configure a lot of things in my ROM, because when I flash it on my phone, I want it ready to go. So, expect the backlight to be set at the maximum brightness, the ringtone, sms/email and other notifications to already be set. Doing it this way, makes for a nice ROM that's ready out of the box.

I recommend learning to backup your settings with either Sashimi or UC (User Customization). Backing up with SPB Backup or similar products, is NOT recommended, as they tend to backup the previous release's registry/file bugs as well!

Looking at the download folder you will find two core versions of my ROM.

    • The 21916 Build which is the most reliable, fast and bug free release. It has the Start menu button at the top left corner just like a stock ROM. I recommend you start with this first! :)

    • The 29022 Build that's the latest in the 6.5.X series with the Start menu button at the bottom left corner and big softkeys. These builds reflect the latest cutting edge technology from Microsoft. These are also much more finger friendly throughout.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You can stay up to date on the status of my ROM development by "following" me on Twitter.

It's definitely the fastest way to get in touch with me and please don't be afraid to tweet me if you see major issues with the ROMs.
I generally do not answer "support" questions on Twitter, as it's really not the proper medium for that. Service packs and quick fixes will always be released as links in my tweets and that's definitely the fastest way to get a fix for a ROM.

To follow me on twitter, click here!

If you own an European\Asian Touch PRO, use the "Keyboard Selector" application under Utilities > Tweaks (after you flash the ROM) to select the "Pro" keyboard layout. The ROM comes with the american AT&T Fuze layout enabled by default.

This post features all the Cookie Hometab based ROMs I make.

The original ROM is the "energy" version and that's a good starting point. All the rest, are themes applied to that ROM.
They all come in two versions,
Cookie 1.8.5 and Cookie 2.0 (the ROM filename will be labeled "Cookie" and "Cookie.2.0, plus the name of the theme)

You can see more screenshots of these ROMs a couple of posts down.

The two Cookie versions look pretty similar, but Cookie 2.0 has multiple sliding homescreens/freely moveable widgets (similar to Android) and
quite a few more features and speed, however it's still in 'beta'. Cookie 1.8.5 is considered the less complicated and stable build for now.

    My own 'Energy' style

    • This is the best ROM version and the way Sense should have been designed by HTC
    • Offers the biggest customization ability out of all versions. You can add/remove bars or items on the homescreen, arrange items any way you like, plus lots of extra features
    • Three built in lockscreens. "HD Mini" style, Manila style or Windows style
    • 3 pages of quicklinks with a configurable amount of shortcuts displayed
    • 3 Homescreen layouts to choose from, as seen in the above screenshots, all completely customizable !
    • Link to the original thread for this mod is here > Click <
    Dinik's "Anastasia"
    • This ROM series is skinned with Dinik's great "Anastasia" theme applied on everything.
    • Everything has been skinned, including Sense, the start menu items, the soft keyboard, parts of the dialer... etc
    _LeCiel_'s ".sencity"

    • This ROM is themed with the .sencity theme released by _LeCiel_ who is a very talented artist ! Please support his work if possible.
    • .sencity is not %100 complete yet, but _LeCiel_ is working hard on finishing his work to completely skin the entire ROM.
    • Link to the original thread for this mod is here > Click <
DJC & Bobsbbq's "Touch Of Glass"
    • This ROM series is skinned with DJC's "Touch of Glass" theme throughout Sense and the Start Menu
    • More will be skinned as DJC continues his work on the theme in the future...
    • Link to the original thread for this mod is here > Click <
    ElCondor's "GTX"

    • This ROM has the white GTX theme applied
    • Android styled taskbar, matching dialer, matching start menu background and Action screen background
    • GTX is a total reskin of the operating system, so expect a very different (white) experience

    ROM features at a glance:

    • Very fast startup time. You won't find any startup wizards in this ROM. You'll be up and running in a couple minutes after flashing the ROM and ready to go. No need to spend time to set everything up.

    • XDA_UC is built in. It will import your custom XML and REG files from your storage card after first boot.

    • My own Settings Exporter application is found in the Tools folder. Use it to export all your settings after you customize the device. When a new ROM comes down the line, use it to import everything and save time.

    • Everything is setup to use the phone right after flashing. Sounds, notifications, all options, etc

    • The HTC Messaging client is removed, leaving the windows built SMS client for much faster texting, but still able to use a nicely skinned Sense text messaging app with "iphone style" messaging bubbles.

'Standard' ROMs that have no addons installed on the homescreen. Stock Sense 2.5 !

    'Energy'

    • This series retains the stock functionality of the Sense UI. The files have been compressed by "CFC" compression. making the UI lighter and faster
    • This ROM still retains my theme and style, plus all the regular apps you find in my ROMs.
    • There are no homescreen addon-ons in this ROM. The best speed and the most stock functionality.

    MaxSense.png

    MaxSense UI (android style homescreen)

    • This is a complete rewrite of the Sense homescreen, by maxycy.
    • It features a 3 screen, Android style, homescreen with widgets! The widgets can be placed ANYWHERE on the three screens.
    • 75 Quicklink accessible on all tabs
    • You should really visit the original thread for this mod shown on the next line to see all the features!
    • Link to the original thread for this mod is here > Click <.
    Titanium (ROMs for raw speed!)

    • This is a minimal ROM version without Sense in it. It's used primarily for people that like to customize the default 6.5 homescreen (Titanium)
    • You can use it to install alternate homescreen interfaces like SPB Mobile Shell, etc
    • Very low memory footprint and good battery life, but very simple and lacks a lot of features that you would otherwise have available in Sense...

    Camera / G-Sensor Issue

In the Rhodium, I found that HTCSensorSDK.dll was missing in both the December 11th and December 13th ROMs.

I found this by running depends.exe on Camera.exe.

    I saw that HTCSensorSDK.dll was a dependency.

Since there were also G-Sensor issue, it seemed like a likely cause.

I uploaded my December 5th version of that file. A user applied it.

    The Camera started working.

That particular file might not be compatible with the Raphael, so I recommend someone look at the last ROM where the camera worked. backup HTCSensorSDK.dll from the windows folder.

Flash the latest ROM. Then copy the backed up file to the windows folder.

If it works, then zip it up and upload it.

Hope this helps. If it does, please remember the Thanks button.
