Ownwhere's 5.2.1 Maps as it's mentioned here and in the download attachments:
Does it have Navigation, like the Brut 4.6?
Or is it just the Maps?

Navigation included =)

What to use for this version?
Does this application work on the sd card?

Damn, I've got Maps as a system file and I can't get it deleted with Super Manager. Nor can I get uninstalled either obviously.

Not in the mood to cook another rom now.

Later then...

You can uninstall with Titanium Backup, or simply deleting all related files with Root Explorer. I usually do something similar to push the updated file to system on every update. You may need to re-boot after finishing.

Thanks for that.
Got the system maps uninstalled with Titanium, but can't push the ownwhere hack to system/app with SuperManager and can't purchase Root Explorer as I don't have PayPal.

Any other Root Explorer type apps out there?
Will keep on with the search in AppBrain.

Have anyone noticed battery drain increased after moving to 5.2.x versions?

Returned to 5.1, as can't see any valuable improvements on latest versions.

Thumbs up
I had a load of issues getting it installed... for some reason it constantly gave me app not installed... so here is what worked for me after many tries...

1. delete whatever maps you have from google using titanium or whatever means
2. clean /delete cache and dalvik cache via recovery mode
3. install original maps from Google (use marketenabler app if your country does not have downloadable)
4. don't open the freshly installed maps... instead just uninstall the original maps again... (don't ask me why... it just worked for me like that)
5. install the resigned 5.2.1 maps

enjoy ~

wipe data from titanium and uninstall might be enough to allow for installation of the resigned version

Is there a way to check if this new google map app is clean from malware? How do we trust whatever the source?
