Note 1:

In order to identify your phone ROM version see in the settings>about>more information:

Firmware revision number: 2250.09.12201.401

Your phone ROM version will be: 1.22.401.01

The characteristic value (CV) is: 401

You Operator name and CIDs i.e.: HTC_Europe operator, with CIDs HTC__001, HTC__102, HTC__203, HTC__304, HTC__405, HTC__016, HTC__A07, HTC__032 can be found with this CV from following classification:

1. 401: HTC_Europe operator, with CIDs HTC__001, HTC__102, HTC__203, HTC__304, HTC__405, HTC__016, HTC__A07, HTC__032

2. 207: O2_DE operator, with CID O2___102

In case your phone operator name and the above ROM version of your phone is included in section:

D. Windows Phone 7 Branded ROMs

where ROMs are listed in a template form, in order to minimize post space, and:

[BR] is for Branded Rom, to check if it applies to your phone operator

then:

1. You can safely flash your phone with a new version of a Branded ROM and then return to the initial Branded ROM

2. In case only your phone operator name is included then you can flash a Branded ROM but no return is feasible to the initial Branded ROM

If so you can also go at link of Note 2 to flash any available Unbranded ROM of your phone operator

Then you can go at link of Note 3 to flash any available Radio Unbranded ROM of your phone operator

C. Windows Phone 7 ROM Flashing Instructions

1. Unzip your downloaded *.zip file in a separate folder

2. Press and hold power-on/off button to power-off the phone

3. Press and hold volume-down button and then press power-on/off button to enter bootloader mode

4. When your phone enters the tricolor screen bootloader mode, release volume-down button

5. Connect your phone to your windows 7/vista/xp pc/laptop with a usb cable

6. Verify that your phone will be identified and relevant drivers will be installed by windows os of your pc/laptop

7. After completion of (6.) above, check the usb message connection on your phone screen

8. To flash the new ROM go to your pc/laptop folder of (1.) above

9. Double click on the ROMUpdateUtility.exe file and strictly follow the instructions on your pc/laptop screen

Hi,

Your phone ROM version is 1.24.207.01 that is a new one and there is not yet available

If you unbrand to HTC_Europe you cannot go back to 1.24.207.01 yet, but to 1.07.207.01 that is older

If I want to install one of these ROMs, does my device have to unlocked using a goldcard?

If so, can someone point me in the direction of how to create a goldcard?

Hi,

Firmware is incomplete or a pre-release version

Try both 1.1 and 2.1 to see if one it works

It wont affect the phone at all if none will work

i followed steps for upgrade with 1.1 and get this picture and after selected upgrade get error (in attachments)

hope i can use 2.1 if not have O2 DE operator? my operator is croatian VIP

There is no yet a ROM for the Croatian VIP operator, may be later on

i not ask ROM for VIP (simply ask if not ROM locked only to one provider).... my phone is not official by VIP, VIP dont have plans to official sold this devices, only HTC Trophy.... my HTC 7 Pro is promotive device (dont know from where)... came in white box only with barcode and serial number

There is no ROM already flashed into a phone and unlocked to any other operator

That's why you cannot flash any (probably) other operator ROM

But there are ROMs unlocked to any operator as some of those created by me

Hi,

Also 3rd, 4rth and 6th ROM will give this error due to they are of those operators as 1st and 2nd ROM

The 5th ROM is for another phone i.e. Arrive and will stack at 0% with update error 276

NBF is a backup file i.e. a different file format for ROM upgrade used in pre-release devices
