Not sure about Windows, but if you are running Linux, it's a pretty trivial task to mount or extract the images produced using the unyaffs tool. Is this what you are trying to accoumplish? If so, I will post some instruction in this thread.

I've had many, many users get confused upon installing streakmod because they menus arnt visible initially and get confused thinking they installed it incorrectly.

If there is enough interest with your request, this could be done.

Excellent. unyaffs unpacked the cache, data, firstboot and system images, and unpack-bootimg.pl was able to unpack the boot and recovery images. So, it looks like a good backup.

Damn, damn, I bricked my Streak when flashing the dsp1.mbn for SD 1.9.0. XP sees it as a device which QDLtool doesn't recognise. Any ideas on how to fix it? Thx, Warren

Edit: Thank goodness for the web, I found what I needed to fix the problem here.

Another unlucky one here stuck on the 'Backing Up firstboot' option.....2.2.2 with BB 351.

Hope this gets solved sometime soon.

or even a "PRESS THE POWER BUTTON AND CHOOSE OPTION 2" would be good...

Wink New update posted
Ok, gang!

A new update has been posted: v0.3.2.7-DoctorWFix. Let me know your experience. I am unable to verify due to the fact I do not directly own the Dell Streak anymore, but I will work--with help from this community--to ensure it performs the functions that are essential to what most users expect from a recovery.

Also, if any one is interested helping me to manage this project, please contact me. I have received a lot of suggestions of the last few months, and would like to see some of them implemented.

Of course, DoctorW will be my first choice if he so graciously accepts this assignment! :)
