[DEPRECATED] [ROM] ▒▓ «SteelROM v1.04» ▓▒ v1.13.651.7 DeOdexed | 2.3.3 | 8/15/11

NOTICE: The development of this ROM is now shelved, not support or further development will be done here.

Like my prior ROMs, this one is stock with nothing removed.....

I simply add functionality to the base ROM.

Anyone & everyone, feel free to use this ROM... Or feel free not to use it all.

-Added some IO tweaks to the ramdisk

jdeloach's custom MODs

jdeloach has made some nice MODs for this ROM! Check 'em out!

Orange overscroll

Blue Overscroll

Custom Steel - (Thanks to JoelZ for this. This will add a transparent notification pull-down, removes recent apps, removes GPS icon when off, and changes all of the taskbar icons to white. The only thing that I did was make it compatible with SteelRom, add White HoneyComb Battery, and darken the Transparent Notification)

Anyhow, if you don't want something, just delete the APK. POOF, sprint crap gone!

A better idea would be to rename the apk. That way you can always restore it if you later realize you shouldn't have removed it.

Steel I have been a fan of your Evo 4G Roms. Thanks for your work. I normally like to remove the apk's from the downloaded zip file on my desktop. If you open the file with 7-zip etc and don't extract it, you can remove whatever you want and it never installs on your phone.

Went to flash got an error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip. WUT DO?
Fixed. Did a quick reboot. Was a problem with my a phone.

market seems to be borked, at least for me. starts downloading my apps automatically and after about 5-10 apps installing it then fails all the rest saying out of memory. phone shows lik 900mb free. *confused* wiped and reflashed twice and same results all three times. flashed with twrp.

I had the same issue with ViperROM RC1, I had plenty or room on my phone and SD Card, tried removing some and moving some, but nothing worked, even rebooted a couple times to make sure, I had to nandroid back.

try clearing the data for the market app by going into settings

I just pushed this Kernal on top of this ROM .. and oh man!!!!! Yeah BABY!!!!

Thanks for the ROM, in another ROM I read that doing some of the available update fixed the broken Market but can't say this for sure. I'm downloading now and will flash soon, if I can request something for a later release would be the native screen shot that others are adding to their roms.
