Transparency buttons
I want to make the buttons of the button bar (semi-) transparant. I used the method in this thread and I can change icons and stuff, but changing the transparency of the buttons (located in res/drawable) did not result in any changes. Do you have any ideas what should be changed to make this work? Do I need to modify services.jar?

I never used to have a problem with changing the framework using the below code in ADB, but suddenly, today, when I'm on cp /sdcard/framework /system/framework/framework-res.apk I'm getting Ivalid Arguement, cannot remove system/framework/framework-res.apk,

This wasn't happening yesterday and there doesn't seem to be a similar issue around, I have root and SU has been granted.

adb push framework-res.apk /sdcard/framework-res.apk
adb shell
cp /sdcard/framework-res.apk /system/framework/framework-res.apk
chmod 644 /system/framework/framework-res.apk (only needs to be done the first time, as the permissions will adopt those when replacing in the future)

Any ideas what going on please?

I really want to make my custom framework but two question :

1) Is custom framework an other word for "theme"?
2) Do I really have to root my device?I just dont want to **** things up 'cause I got my Archos as a Christmas present. And erm...Why ? Why do I need a rooted gen8???

And will this work for my Galaxy S Phone to????????? Just wondering =).

Any advice is appreciated !
