No sound with low resolution video ? Nooop! Use ShutUpCamera
with no sound Stronger Camera App(ex:Camera 3xx), Great!!

Take picture of important meeting / Library / Restaurant
Photo courtesy, and sometime Take picture from Sleeping
Children or Cute Pets world't scare him.. etc.

Switch the Take picture sound ON/OFF any time just one click, and automatically detect camera sound status.

I'm not sure about all stock camera apps, but isn't there an option that turns off the shutter noise?

Great idea but doesn't work on HTC sensation (stock Telstra AUS rom, rooted).
Telstra ROM doesn't allow you to turn off camera sounds so this would be useful.
(All sounds- shutter, beeps, and focus would be good).
