I have also prepared all files and as promised I will test it now. I was the whole day out of my office and besides there are some requests from our all Heathcliff74, which have priority.

I will copy the files under Mango, because my provxml method for OMNIA 7 is allready running on device.

Here is the result of my test on OMNIA 7:

the shared files enable the internet sharing in settings, but when I try to turn it on it says: "connection not shared" "Internet sharing isn´t currently available".
Maybe there is missing a driver or another registry key...

Check the attached screenshots...

I also copied the patched .dll.

I think somebody else should test it, too.

As we don´t have a working file explorer for OMNIA 7 I can´t proof if the .dll
is copied well.

I've tested it. Have the same results as you on a hd7.

Lightbulb Ready to test on Omnia 7
However my TouchExplorer stopped working after I upgraded to Mango RTM. I do have SansungRegistry editor working, but I can't seem to figure out how to type in new values... it isn't like other registry I have seen.

Must have teether!

I mean it´s a good progress that we could enable it in settings.
To get it fully working maybe it depends only on some more regedits. I don´t know.

Anyway I´m still willing to do more tests so if there are any new ideas please let me know and I will test them...

You could try;

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing\Settings\P rivate]
"ConnectionType"=dword:[1 or 3]

& see if you can USB tethering working.

Code:
1 - RNDIS
3 - ETHERNET

Doesn´t work either.

Anyway by default the USB port is set to "Zune sync", on the OMNIA 7 I have switch to "Modem, Tethered Call" for using USB-tethering. So I think USB-tethering can´t work without switching the USB settings.

In my opinion there is missing a samsung specific driver.
