Hi, I have the TM GS2 and The Unlocked GS2, and there is a big difference in the screens.

Thanx
And if I play 1080p video on YouTube the unlocked version plays very very smooth and the TM version can't play even 720P without lag. I think its the gpu:(

Strange, I've played several 1080p vids on youtube with no problems, it's very very smooth. Granted I don't have the unlocked version to compare it to, but no complaints here.

Great comparison on the screenshots, do we attribute the washed out colors on the T-mobile version due to the larger screen?

i had the unlocked version and the user interface and experience was much smoother, i sold it and got this basically for the data

however, 1080p videos play fine for me. no lag

I can live with the CPU/GPU being a little weaker with better battery life and a compatible modem. Can you see the difference between 480p and 1080p on a 4 inch screen?

But the fact that the screen is washed out compared to the unlocked one is pretty disappointing.

Code is optimized for samsung silicon... I am interested to see performance on ROMs built from source... and optimized for qualcomm silicon

The difference is minimal but the colors on the unlocked looks like 5 times better

Yeah, what's up with tmo not including a color setting adjuster? White balance on phones these days are allll over the place. Why not have the simple RGB sliders like on Enthomers ROMS

my first sgs2 looked washed out and had the vertical lines. My second sgs2 looks just as vibrant as that unlocked sgs2 international.
These pics from my hd2 don't really do it justice though..

I think the pink background is because t mobile tinted the original pic on some phones to match their color. Can some one upload the orange picture so I can test it?

I would like to see that file too. My wallpaper definitely looks more pink.

The mytouch 4g has a thread discussing variances in screens due to different suppliers; one screen washes out immediately off angle and the other doesn't (don't know how to post the link using xda app). There was a way to figure out what supplier made the screen using the terminal emulator app to link which supplier was the bad screen. so i'm wondering if the same can be done with our phone of in fact we determine there are variances in screens.

It doesn't surprise me if different suppliers were used resulting in differences in the quality of the screen color. We just need to figure out if there are different screen part numbers and if there is a link between the good screen and the bad screen.
