Hey!
I just hate to write something here just to complain but I have a serious issue since i installed Prime 2.0.4 yesterday.
Everything was fine until i plugged the Transformer to charge it and found out nothing happened. I let it plugged in all night long to see if it wasn't just the icon wich was messing with me.
Indeed the tablet charged a bit but no more than 45% in 6 or 7 hours.
The only thing that changed was my updating from Prime 1.9.

Am I the only one with that problem? Does someone have a solution to fix it?

I think you should have flashed 2.0.1 first and then 2.0.4.

Nothing to do with the software: put the wall plug in the fridge for a couple of minutes and it will charge again. yes, the fridge.
It worked for mine. For more details look for charging problem on xda, you are not the only one. Malheureusement.

Edit: wasn't on xda but here www.transformerforums.com/forum/asus-transformer-faq/260-finding-your-transformer-no-longer-charges-wall-wart-adapter.html

Hi...

The boot animation keeps showing in every boot after the patch... is it necessary some extra step besides applying the patch?

Changelog:
v2.0.4 - Patch (Bugfixes only)
...
Fixed issue where wifi switches itself on and off.

Not exactly... I have this problem since 2.x.x, when I try to disable 3G using your 3G Toggler app (i don't need it anymore).

I have tried to disable 3G, restart, apply 2.0.4 patch, restart, turn on wifi,
wait about 20 minutes (so TF goes to deep sleep), then wake it up and wifi
goeas crazy - it will switch on/off every second and can't manually override it - only restarts helps

After enabling back 3G with your 3G Toggler, all is ok....

I've tried setting up a cronjob (crontab -e) but with no luck, the jobs just don't run.

/data/cron/cron.log just has a series of two lines repeated n times:
Code:
crond: chdir(data/cron)
crond: can't execute '/bin/sh' for user root

This appears to be repeated in the log file when ANY cronjob fires.

The cronjob is set to run every 2 minutes, executing /system/xbin/busybox echo foo > /mnt/sdcard/foobar. So I can test the bloody thing :). The sdcardspeedfix thingy is still set as found, except I added trailing blank lines in busybox vi. Thus the log grows quickly if I leave the jobs active.

Am I just doing it wrong or is something a miss? Kinda guess few people here put cronjobs on their TF's...lol

I would like to have some support for 3G Toggler.

1. I flashed PRIME 2.0.4.
2. Installed 3Gtoggler.
3. Flashed the "3G enabler".
4. Rebooted...

I see the Mobile menus in the parameters.
I plugged my 3G usb Dungle (Huawai 21Mbps: t-mobile/Videotron model).

If I try to manually add an APN manually it is impossible to save it (there is no "save" button and when I press the "back" button the APN doesn't save).

When I try to search a network, nothings happen too: does not seems to be able to search.

I see the blue light flashing on my dungle.

SHOULD I POST THIS in the 3G Toggler thread instead?

Do you see the "recovery" option when you press the power button?

Found the problem, it's actually Clemsyn's kernel causing the wifi on/off on my tablet. Using "STOCK Kernel from Prime 1.9.1" from first page seem to solve the problem now. Thank you for this great rom again.

It is still happening even with stock kernel, it is just take longer to happened. Maybe I should try to enable the 3G on my tablet to see if this help or not... I'm trying netformer 1.6 n kernel now, let see how this goes first.

Hey guys I'm running this rom and I'm having a bit of trouble. Every time I turn my tablet off or let it go to sleep it either restarts by itself or it won't turn on at all and I have to hold the power button down to restart the device. Is anyone else having this problem? If so how can I fix it?

voodoo sound

I ran a search but couldn't find if the latest version 2.0.4 was loaded with the voodoo sound driver,or if the full paid for app was required? I have the paid app, but recall reading that if the sound driver was already built into the rom then installing the full paid app could cause system problems? I could only see references regarding custom kernels but not what comes stock?
thanks.

DID ANYONE HEAR ABOUT THE NAME OF THE NEW TRANSFORMER, TRANSFORMER PRIME?!?!?!

Try reflashing the rom. Also, do you have a dock? If so, does the tablet behave the same way with it docked/undocked?

Its all in the kernel. Prime stock kernel doesnt have it built in, but plenty of othrs do, so you can still run prime and have voodoo, just flash a different kernel.

    PRIME! v2.1.0 Vanilla

This is a ROM for the Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF101

    Special thanks to: CaNsA | Hacre | afm | MoDaCo | dc13 | supercurio | Bumble-Bee | RaYmAn | netarchy | Vividboarder | CurtisBeef

This rom is a work in progress and all feedback is appreciated. It is build from the stock rom and has a few tweaks added. As always whenever installing any rom, please take care to follow instructions as no one enjoys seeing their prized possesion not working.

    Instructions for CWM Recovery version:
    1. Copy ROM to sdcard
    2. Verify the MD5 of the zip on the sdcard, DO NOT FLASH IF THIS DOESN'T MATCH THE MD5 UNDER THE DOWNLOAD LINK!
    3. Boot into clockworkmod recovery
    4. Take a nandroid backup (optional but highly recommended)
    5. Install the ROM
    6. Reboot and wait... The more apps you have installed the longer the first boot will take... Please note that after the lock screen comes up your TF may be sluggish for a minute while the rom initialises.
    7. Install any available patch versions for cumulative updates between full releases.

    Rom Details:
    Android 3.2.1
    GPS - V5.5.8
    WiFi - V5.2.65
    Bluetooth - V6.24
Kernel - 2.6.36.3 (Stock) - CUSTOM OC KERNEL IN POST 2

    Build - HTK75.prime_epad-2.1.0-20111105
MobileDock Firmware- EP101-0213 (Prompts for install after first boot if required)

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE NVFLASH VERSION CAN ONLY BE USED ON AN SBK1 DEVICE

Q: Do I need to root before I flash this.
A: No, Simply use the Latest NVFLASH version available to install a custom rom and clockworkmod recovery. Then if required, upgrade to the latest version of Prime.

Q: Do I need to wipe before installing Prime?
A: In general a wipe should not be required if you are upgrading from an earlier version of Prime but if you experience any sluggishness or are coming from another rom then a wipe Should be performed before installing the rom. My advice is to take a backup before installing any rom, give it a try and if you get any errors or issues then perform a factory reset either from Settings - Privacy or perform a wipe from Clockworkmod Recovery.

Q: Do 3G USB Dongles work with this
A: Currently only HUAWEI dongles are working. The 3G settings can be activated by using the 3G Toggler App.

A: Zion is where free humans live.

    Alright.

In general, it is ok to remind members to ask questions in the General or Q&A section of a forum. It is NOT ok to make them point of ridicule if they make a mistake.

Consider this a warning. I will start infracting or banning if this behaviour continues.

    Let's continue DEVELOPMENT in here.
