Another great app that I find useful is Move2SD Enabler. It allows you to move apps to your sd card even if they don't have that capability. It works on most apps. However, there are still a few apps that still won't move, but they are apps you really don't want on the sd card anyway. It can be found here on the android market:

https://market.android.com/search?q=move2sd+enabler&so=1&c=apps

or at the following link:

http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=11914322&postcount=111

Please note that the market link will tell you the program is incompatible if you are running Gingerbread, but the xda link works great.

Move2SD Enabler added. I linked it to your post here so everyone will see the important info you gave about it and also they will have the opportunity to press your "thanks".

Anybody else with an essential root app that is not on the list please share with us. I have not found a better list of root apps on XDA, much less one that the apps were tested by users of the same device to ensure compatibility! Thanks all who have contributed.:D

System tuner pro and absolute system tools. I don't know if they've been added and sorry if they had been.

quick question: is there any way to remove the prompt that shows up when you take a screenshot with that screen grabber app?

It shows up in all of my screenshots and it bugs me.

You need to increase the amount of seconds to wait before capturing the screen shot.

Got another app. avast! Mobile Security. It was just released to the android market as a beta. It can be used on non-rooted devices, but there are some features that can only be activated with rooted devices. One such feature is the built in firewall. When you activate the firewall it will integrate itself into android's default browser and alert you of any sites suspicious sites. It also gives you the ability to determine what networks individual programs have access to. There is also a feature called Anti-Theft. It has a bunch of features that will help recover a lost or stolen phone. The best part is if you are rooted you can install it to the root partition of the phone which will prevent it from being uninstalled. You can also save the settings to the root partition. A bonus feature of being rooted is that gps will be activated automatically when Anti-Theft is activated. Other features that don't require root are a virus scanner (found 4 viruses that lookout missed and scans more than just applications), a privacy advisor which tells you what programs have access to what, an application manager, and a sms and call filter. Lastly, this program is free. For more info check out this post on the android police site or avast's forum.

How about Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper. It was created by supercurio and it saves a backup of "su" that can be restored after installing an upgrade. It can also temporarily unroot your phone so you can use apps that won't work if you are rooted (the google video service is a prime example). Once you want to restore your root access just restore the backed up "su". Here is the link:
