Thanks Tilal. Will report back once tested. Note I wont wipe unit for testing, since already done in past and using pretty up to date rom.

Well, I've been pretty much awful at mirroring this stuff. :P
Nothing to report feedback-wise. Well, nothing that's already been said.
Though there is one thing. It could be my network, but I can never send SMS in 3G. I can receive them, use internets, make USSD requests and calls... but sending SMSes on 3G/HSPA consistently fails. I have to switch to 2G-only in order to perform such a task. Since I'm in wifi most of the time anyway this isn't such a problem, but out and about it's especially inconvenient.
I'll try a logcat soon, see if it yields results.

1,340 Huawei U8150s running CyanogenMod
I just checked the CyanogenMod stats page and was happy to see that there are 1,340 U8150s running CyanogenMod:

The U8120 and U8160 are right behind. Good stuff guys, keep opting in to the anonymous stats when you flash CyanogenMod.

Note: it always pays to delete the Market data in Settings>Manage-Apps. That way you get the Market to relook at installed apps, not the defaults apps of the update.

Ok Tital here is how my unit is going. (U8150D, > synaptic panel)

+* Multi-touch working, Yaaay!!!
+* UI speed nice and responsive
+* Market and UI loading much faster than all other builds
+* More UI memory showing in home level. 60/+-10
+* CPU working at 672Mhz
+* No crashes so far
+* Google Voice working as expected! Fast and correct.
+* Less 'Wait' n "force Close' dialog boxes!

-* Sound distorts worse than Alan's build of Nov03
-* Light sensor toggle seems to fail, clicking between auto and manual, etc. EDIT: Working after restart and consequential toggles.
-* USB mounting doesn't work, but doesn't crash unit as previous builds. > Linux(Kubuntu 11.10)
-* Barcode Apps fail
-* Back button held down at home level kills GUI engine

EDIT:
-* Battery level was stuck at 100% (reset second time in recovery level and now partly working! Slow to change values!)

Haven't tested tethering!
Haven't tested bluetooth!
Haven't tested battery use!

So sorry Alan, lol, using Tital's build now. heheheh....

Cool. It's a nice unit, especially for the price.

ClockworkMod Recovery 5.0.2.7
Hey, guys... here's a version of ClockworkMod Recovery with USB SD card mounting working. It's much more convenient to copy update zips to the phone when it's mounted on the computer. Also, it's the latest version of CWM from CyanogenMod's source tree. Not sure what's new, but +1 is always better.

Download: clockworkmod_5.0.2.7_u8150.img (md5sum: c59673d5aa926d94227857e51fbe9e2c)
Flash:
  • Power off your phone
  • Start with holding Red + Volume Down + Power
  • Run:
    Code:
    fastboot flash recovery clockworkmod_5.0.2.7_u8150.img
    fastboot reboot

Just in case you're wondering, this uses the U8150 kernel source. USB mounting always works with the U8150 source, but breaks other things. The U8160 source is much nicer/newer (multi touch, haptic feedback, etc), but USB mounting doesn't work for some reason on our device. It's a no brainer to use the U8150 source in ClockworkMod Recovery because we don't need fancy things like multi touch...
