Wifi not working after root
Hi,
I rooted my Ray this way

1. had brand new Ray bought in CZE with Android 2.3.3
2. got it already updated via OTA to 4.0.2.A.0.42 (Android 2.3.4)
3. unlocked bootloader this way section (A) - everything went OK
4. rooted device this way using flashtool Root - everything went OK

but, this cleared all the data (no problem) and broked wifi (this is a big problem) - now I cant access any wifi (doesnt matter if secured with WPA or open), it says obtaining IP address and then disconnects

I tried to reflash with this image via flashtool this way:
1. went to fastboot (volume up + usb cable to PC)
2. started flashtool, it said Device connected in fastboot mode
3. clicked Flash icon, selected Flashmode in Mode Selector (default option)
4. selected image 4.0.2.A.0.42 and OK
5. it said preparing files for flashing
6. after 2 mins it displayed message INFO - Searching Xperia and ERROR - Please plug you device in flash mode and another popup dialog said "unplug device, power off the device. press back button and hold it, plug the usb cable

now it still works OK, I'm able to boot the phone, use it, make calls, but wifi doesnt work and I'm not able to flash anything

do you have any idea what could be wrong and how to fix it ?

when i clearly posted that u need to be on correct FW why did u flash OLDER KERNEL ON NEW FW?

phone is on stock firmware: 4.0.A.2.368

now extract the kernel.sin from stock .42 FW and flash it using fastboot

search how to do this...

yes, you are right and I knew about it, that this boot.img is from older ROM, and it was strange to me, but I read here that root method is the same... but now I see it was misunderstanding - the same method, but another files...

anyway, I found a solution meanwhile, already on your kernel and everything works fine, thanks anyway and sorry, I spent a night on it and wasnt able to find a solution, I found it several minutes after my post, I will be more tenacious next time
