Is it possible to use this method to increase the ram size?

u guys have 400+ mb ram why u need RAW SWAP? it is ok to use that on devices with LOW ram... it is really slow as compared to RAM...

its part kernel and part module related

These so called "battery managers" Jd and Gp only add to more battery consumption, and it uselessly eats your ram.

doom the interactivex governor is not working properly, when i check with cpu spy it doesn't go in deep sleep instead it uses the 300mhz bin due to this my battery drains very fast.
hope you optimize the governors for our phone soon

Been playing with Test6, using smartassV2 as main governor. Overall I have a smoother experience than other governors.

This is my SetCPU profile settings for Test6, to curb some overheating:
<order of priority>
Code:
1. If Temp>50degs | Min 300, Max 300 | gov=powersave
2. If Screen Off | Min 300, Max 600 | gov=conservative
3. If in Call | Min 300, Max 600 | gov=conservative
4. If Charging | Min 600, Max 1100 | gov=minmax
5. If Bat<3% | Min 300, Max 300 | gov=powersave
6. If Temp>35 degs | Min 300, Max 1100 | gov=conservative
7. If Bat<101% | Min 300, Max 1100 | gov=smartassV2
Just sharin!

Angry UC kernel v6 [Test release]
This is test release for testing modified CPU governor performance.

Modified governors:
  • Brazilianwax
  • InteractiveX
  • Lagfree
  • SavagedZen
  • Scary
  • Smartass
  • SmartassV2
  • Smoothass

UC-KERNEL-v06-TEST-XXKPQ-GT-I9003_PDA
(MD5 Sum:c084022c2d9f5ac88e0dd4cb244cd166)

[Note]
  1. We will merge final modifications related to GPU and governor tuning in our next release. Currently this release has UC-kernel v5 test3 related modifications.
  2. Minmax and Hotplug governors are not modified because I did not find anything to tune in it specific to device.
  3. DO NOT POST following types of reply:
    • Governor XXX is using ###.00MHz frequency most of the time
(Because this is governor's behavior and not my )

[For Developers]
  1. For developers: My modifications are very generic, so anyone who wants to port these governors to any other device can use these patches directly without possible need of further tuning.
  2. Sources are the same as given in first post of this thread.

Please test all mentioned governors and report if you face any problems

@napstar

can you provide a v6 kernel with v5 test6 modification?
v5 test6 quite stable and I think is better than v5 test3.

thanks for the hard work.

I second that, V5-test6 is very stable. Also, can the OP change-log be updated. It is still at v4.

Lastly, what would be the test case for this kernel?
