sorry for didn't give any reports yet... (still exhausted from new year eve barbeque party):(

ok, but now here some reports for what i have did with cwm 5.0.2.7 so far:

> flashing rom (with sd-ext format process included) still false reformatting my ext4, on my case to ext3 (tried by flashing cm7.1 rc3)
> doing wipe/factory reset also still false reformating ext4, on my case to ext3
> formatting sd-ext, formated my ext4 to ext3
> try some cwm-recovery restore/advance restore sd-ext, also formated ext4 to ext3

> doing backup & all the things that nothing to do with cwm sd-ext reformatted proccess seems work properly & have no problem on me

my conclusions so far it still have issues with anything to do with cwm-reformatting sd-ext process...:(

CWM 5.0.2.7 working fine. Formatting of sd-ext to ext4 successfull, s2e working out of the box. Thanks for this fine work, phiexz.

When I install ROM manager, it shows cwm version 4.0.1.5. Backup working fine, but skipping sd-ext as non-mountable.
When I boot to recovery, cwm shows correct version 5.0.2.7 and backup works including sd-ext.
ROm manager seems not to be able to adress this version of cwm.

was on good hope that this would solve the corruption problem.....
It does not help only version number 27 ok fine

3 versions for recovery ???? that is heavily overdone

sd-ext FMT ext4 or ext3 or
????

used it on cm7.2 rc1 but

FMT is not mountable by s2e (what is the point of CM then ????)
FMT is not mountable EXT4 on DT (what is the point .....)

CORRUPT YOUR MEDIA AND ALL THE WORK BUILD ON IT IS WASTE
and that is exactly what is happening after days / weeks 1 month
so there is no CM on GIO

ONLY WAY to setup CM == ERASE ALL THE SD re partition ...... BUt that gets corrupted as well in a few weeks ,,,,

WHAT CAN be so difficult in formatting a Device ???? life seems to be made
difficult here A stable correctly working format is the essence of any OS stored on a media . linux ,windows no format not worth looking at .

ClockworkMod Recovery Based 5.0.2.8 - For galaxy gio
I am not responsible for any damage to your phone

    Tested & Working:
    • Reboot into system
    • Reboot into recovery
    • wipe data (factory reset) & cache
    • wipe battery & dalvik-cache
    • format & mount partition
    • install
    • Backup & Restore
    • Show log
    • Fix permission
    • Lock key

    Known Issue
    • Used (gio,GT-S56600) for assert. so if you got assert error while intall zip package you must change assert script on updater-script into:
      Code:
      assert(getprop("ro.product.device") == "gio" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "gio" || getprop("ro.product.board") == "gio" ||
             getprop("ro.product.device") == "GT-S5660" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "GT-S5660" || getprop("ro.product.board") == "GT-S5660");
updater-script can be found inside zip (META-INF\com\google\android\)
    • Not every Installable zip can handle mount system, data & cache.
so you should mount it manually before flash them. mount menu can found on: Mount & Storage Menu

NOTE: From cwm-5.0.2.8 not need to choose right cwm for your rom (ext or rfs). one cwm is can used on ext4 & rfs filesystem. but if you want to format from rfs to ext4 (example: installing cyanogenMod rom from official samsung's rom) u need ext4formatter & flash it from cwm-5.0.2.8. ext4formatter link can found above

you can install this recovery with ODIN or Recovery
    • Install with ODIN
      • Download & Open ODIN MULTI DOWNLOADER

    bug found!
    the rfs+ext4 version can`t mount my sd-ext(it's ext4)

Sent from my GT-S5660 using XDA App

    its not bug
    on rfs+ext4 version i made sd-ext filesystem on ext2.
    it cant read ext4.
hmmmm, maybe i'll add ext4 on sd-ext later
