looks like there are some patches for hw acceleration from cyanogen
as optimus one have full hw acceleration and dev says he merged here [also squadzone got some on Gmini]

if hw accel gets fixed then can use this rom as daily use as i don't use camera of phone much

searched and saw gt540 [Mike Gapinski] too got 100% hw accel

I've been wondering about this for a while but instead of re-doing all the work, why don't you guys [developers] base it on some other working CM9 version such as squadzone's and work on that.

Anyway, IMHO a new thread should be created for that. But this time with a clear notifiication that this ROM is a port from Galaxy Mini and all credits go to squadzone. We also should ask squadzone first...

As far as i remember it was not that hard to get squadzone's ROM running on the ACE. But i don't remember right now what exactly has to be changed...

I understand that you want to ask it but it's open source for a reason, just give him the necessary credits in the ROM/thread.
Anyway, that Ali Wilson guy only changed a few files around and it worked so I guess that you could download it and check what he changed.

i think the battery issue was normal if you are running based on cm9 4.0.3? correct me if i'm mistaken

No,battery was miserable ,
After this is fixed plus smooth UI
Then I can use the ICS Rom for daily use
