I added Samsung Galaxy S ( Setting) and we can use some phone settings :

Fixed Wireless Geolocation Service , You can use wifi with Gps and Google Maps Find your location easly.

2. USB Tethering : Your desktop computer or laptop are using your tablet wifi and connect to internet with usb cable...

My notes on the "Eryigit Costum Rom 2.0"

Great work on this, thanks for all the effort you have and are putting into it! That is the reason I put together my notes on it, I hope they are interesting or helpful… Sorry if they are a mess, too lengthy and nitpicky! Thanks to all those other great members working on putting out great ROMs for this!

Here's my notes on the "Eryigit Costum Rom 2.0":

Background:
These notes are all from my viewpoint and probably biased toward an English US person… (Sorry if I am not great at taking note of all others viewpoints) I am very much a newbie with this ROM stuff but I have been using another device which uses xdAndroid and have put android on my Touchpad. This is the first ROM I flashed and after trying a couple of the others I have come back to it. My 'Woot' Samsung Wifi 5.0 with Mech. home button had Froyo 2.2.2 (rooted) on it for a long time and I was used to using it, but was tired of the wifi dropping problems and wanted to try the faster GB options. I was very leery of loosing the enhanced 'SoundAlive' options that only Froyo seems to have.

What I did when flashing:
Wiped all Data/factory/Cache Dalvik etc. Before and after Odin flash.
CWM flashed the r13 kernel after
Later: AnTuTu CPU Master - set to 1200/100 (at startup) - Quadrant 1920, not sure...

Once setup I also do:
I do swap the Internal SD with the external with the modified vold.fstab (32GB mSD)

Setup:
Connecting to the WiFi first (before setup) works well in this by holding down on the WiFi toggle in the notifications drop down. Why this does not come up first in any of the 'Setup' wizards I have seen is a mystery to me.
The Time zone needs to be set under settings (why not in setup wizard) - I think the 'Android' setup wizard leaves a lot to be desired as fare as walking through setup - it needs more 'localization' stuff like this (Time zone) and Date format etc…

Items noticed:
SD card scanning at start shows: "Security policy restricts use of sdcard" and "Candidates"
Original default Keyboard (Samsung IME) had Chinese character recognition selected under 'Input Language' - which made it difficult to type English (Like a period)
ES File Explorer does not seem to function as Root - fails test - I am using a free 'Root Browser' which does work.
The Samsung Apps application would fail to update - after changing the permissions it did update. (not sure who would care...)
Notifications shortcuts - What does Data do? (seems to open a browser?)
Using 'Airplane' shortcut then taking it out of arplane - the icon stays in notifications.
No 'Downloads' link in Apps. (Not a big deal)

Chinese Remnants
For the default browser if you try a search for something selected the search options are all 'Baidu' searches (Chinese search…?)

As Others have noted:
Landscape layout has the tray icons at the bottom and they should be on the side (scrolling programs makes the bottom row under some of the tray icons)
I have had Touchwiz crash a couple of times in landscape and a complete reboot once. This was before overclocking...

I prefer the circular battery indicator. Applied that with root browser.

I do like:
The Google apps are pre-installed.
Multiple keyboards - including swype.
All the apps I have tried work really well.
Will want to use CWM for backup and learn how to save all apps and data… maybe custom ODIN .tar.

Would like:
Remove un-needed 'notifications' shortcuts...
Expanded Power Menu.

Other ROM items:
Still testing the wireless - seems much better than Froyo, but still drops sometimes - I may try the different wpa_supplicant… (I am also considering adding a repeater since my Touchpad is very weak when away from my router.)
As with another ROM I tried it would not sync my Google Docs correctly with an application I like "GDocs Notepad" - It just stays at 'Logging In' - In another app I needed to re-input my Google account and it worked. I am wondering if something that allows the sharing of the account by outside apps might be missing...

Power seems to drain even while plugged in… It started at 100% when I turned it on and then was below 100% after turning off but it was plugged in the whole time… This was noticed on the off screen battery meter and before any CPU tuning...May just be typical for this Samsung?

Battery Drop now like;

I just noticed that j=rj's kernel has been updated to r13... I have your 2.0 rom with r12... safe to update the kernel? Are you planning to update the rom or should I go ahead?

BTW... my SGS wifi 5.0 is not a daily driver so I don't use it a lot... I just wanted to let you know, with very light... I mean VERY light use and with minimal apps loaded, wifi on... I took it out of my bag to recharge and it still had 30% battery left... that is 8days & 6 hours later since the last charge... wow!!!

I want to know how to add GMS to the stock China rom.
I just copy GoogleServicesFramework.apk and Vending.apk to system/app , but gsf stops often... I don't know how to make it perfect :-(

Anyone else having problems with gps on this Rom? I can't get a fix on location, the gps system bar icon appears and animates though.

you did a lot of of language support can you please make the rom support in hebrew too?
because in the names of the apps is see it oppsite from it should be

and one more thing is can you make tap tap 4 work on galaxy?i downloaded the rom Meticulus's Foreigner ROM R5 and somehow it made to this game work on samsung galaxy s wifi 5.0

in 2.3.5 gingerbread Samsung Orijinal Keyboard integreated , Eryigit Custom Rom v.3.0 and all language works perfectly.

Second news : HTC orijinal Keyboard integreated system and works perfectly.

Now you can use : Recovery , Download and Reboot mode , in Eryigit Custom rom V.3.0

You can use this apps widget or direct apk apps.
