I installed this ROM and I went to delete some apps with TB. The Social Hub and Media Hub apps would not uninstall. TB would say it did, but they still listed in the app drawer and in the Applications list. I did a full wipe twice. This happened to me one other time as well, but that was when I installed over an existing install. Other than that, it is an awesome ROM.

Awesome rom Juggs! Been running this since yesterday with no issues so far. Buttery smooth. My only concern is faux kernel, not a huge fan, was wondering if it's okay to flash synergy with this rom?

Fastest 4G speeds of any rom so far BTW:

Could I flash the Cm7_mms_Apk.zip?

I like it way better than the stock Messaging app. The Message box on the stock app is four rows deep for some goofy reason. I like to see more of the messages then the text box.

Tanx!!!:):):):):)

I uninstall those 2 1st off the bat along with alot of others. They don't show in my app drawer at all. GONE! Not sure what thats happening with yours. Maybe you should try uninstalling and re-installing TB? Just a thought.

The funny thing is that it uninstalls some, just not those. I installed the ID app. Once it took, once it didn't. These are fresh installs of TB. I can uninstall AccuWeather, AP, and a couple of other apps without issue. Maybe a manual uninstall will do it.

That's how Alexia rolls! This is also currently the ONLY theme that will work with this latest update.

Hello, Whitehawkx. My thanks to you and all of Team Kang for Juggernaut is overdue, since 3.7. First I had to post enough at xda to be allowed to post in this thread. :) But I click your team's "thanks" buttons, and I am saving up to buy each of you a beverage.

5.0 is running fast and smooth for me, with Alexia's theme, and with the same few tweaks I used with 4.1. So far, all but one feature works on my phone. Thank you!

I am only missing in-call audio alerts. (That is, I do not hear any audible notification while a call is in progress, whether for email, SMS, Skype, etc.)

I did try selecting and deselecting Settings>Call>Call alert>Alerts on call, without success.

This is an important feature for me, so I planned to do regression testing by flashing in reverse chronological order the ROMs I used before Juggernaut 5.0. It's the only way, since I can't recall when the feature last worked for me since I started flashing ROMs on this phone, though I know it used to.

If you believe this feature should work in Juggernaut 5.0, please let me know. Also, I will be glad to try any test plans you suggest. Again, thanks.

any kernel that you were using before would likely be fine to use. i'm giving it a try just to see how it performs....so far so good

Never done that before but I would give it a try! Do I replace the existing file? Via Odin?

use root explore or any other file explorer that gives you root access. i'd save the old one...move it to another folder just in case. after you place the new one (located in system--apps btw) you'll need to set the permissions to rw, r, r and then reboot

any feedback on battery life so far?
I love my 4.1 with ICS theme and battery seems to have settled down now.
I'd rather unhappily sacrifice the awesome 5.0 for 4.1, just for battery.

Awesome job guys!

And just a side note. Everyone really needs to wait a minimum of TWO days to see how battery life is going to be. Nothing was changed at all on this rom that would effective battery life in any manner what-so-ever. It seems typically when you flash a new rom battery life is not so great for about the first day and then stabilizes. Besides that, as Roman clearly pointed out complaining about battery life has been linked to AIDS. :)

You don't need pro.

I've been uninstalling system apps with TB for ages. It is the only thing that will. I may try the Root Explorer method once I get the APK names. Do you have to remove anything else or just the APK?

So have I, it works perfect. Also it removes everything. If you use root explorer and just delete the .apk, you have left overs in the form of .odex files.

Just the apk

Sent from SGH-i800 w/AOKP

This is not true...deleting just the apk leaves the .odex files.
If you want to be as thorough as possible then you need to remove both. Titanium does this when you uninstall an app, for the record.

    Frequently Asked Questions
    Q. How do I do a full wipe on my phone before flashing?
    A. When you boot into recovery, select the option "factory wipe" and confirm it. This will ensure you perform a "FULL WIPE" prior to flashing.

    Q. WAAAAH! My MMS is blurry!!! How do I fix this???
    A. Send pictures via email, use a 3rd party mms app from market OR flash the CM7 mms app posted by esincho HERE. READ HIS POST!

    Q. I keep getting an error when trying to use Wifi-Calling. WTF?
    A. You HAVE to use one of the new SIM cards provided by T-mobile AKA the one included with your SGSII. If you are, run fix permissions in recovery.

    Q. I installed the Swype Beta and it keeps FC. What gives???
    A. You did one of the following - Flashed over a previously installed version of Juggernaut or another rom that had stock swype installed OR restored swype using Titanium backup. That's why a FULL WIPE was recommended. Good job on not following directions. :)

    Q. I just got the update notification from T-mobile. How do I get rid of this???
    A. Two ways - download bloat freezer or Titanium Backup Pro from market and freeze "device management" OR use Root Explorer and navigate to /system/app and delete wssyncmldm.apk and wssyncmlnps.apk.

    Q. Does this rom include the new baseband/modem???
    A. NO. If you want the new baseband/modem, use my guide HERE to flash it through Odin.

Bug When Using Arabic Language ONLY
    - Upon reboot MMS will FC when you try to open it. The fix is to change to ANY language, open it then switch back to Arabic. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND using a 3rd party MMS app from the market or flashing the CM7 MMS app listed in FAQ above.

Just because we included a specific launcher in our ROM does not mean you have to use it. In fact I encourage you to try a different launcher other than the stock TouchWiz one. Here are just a few alternatives. Don't limit yourself ಠ_ಠ

Wow. After reading the last 5 pages or so I guess it's time to invite everyone into the mind and life of Whitehawkx. Let me lay all the cards out on the table.

I will first address this nonsense of me quitting. NO, I will not be quitting "deving" anytime soon. I have been wanting to take a much needed break and I feel I am absolutely entitled to this. So much time goes into the work that myself, roman, faux, curtis and every other dev puts out. It's very exhausting to say the least. Why is it exhausting? Let's go deeper into the rabbit hole.

I'm just a regular, everyday normal guy. I have a job that work 40 hours a week at. I also have a girlfriend who I will be proposing to sometime in the very near future. My personal life is just that, personal. I have been going through my own problems as I'm sure everyone who posts on these forums have problems of their own. All the while I do my best to keep as many ppl as I can happy. I saw some mentions of the Valhalla rom. Man... I got trolled to death about that rom and finally updated it. I would say go read through the thread but it has since been deleted.

As for the current state of Juggernaut - I have spoken to roman about doing a "final" release. However final is not necessarily true. What do I mean? Well, we want to do an epic FINAL release that we feel will satisfy the masses for a long time. Why? Because Team Kang in it's entirety has been Galaxy Nexus-ized. So yes, we will be focusing on that phone for some time as it's the new latest and greatest thing on the market. Will I be getting rid of my SGSII? HELL NO! I love this phone and it will not be going ANYWHERE anytime soon. Development will be slower, yes, but we will still be around. Trust me on this. Do you guy's follow faux123? He STILL puts out updated kernels for the G2x and imo that phone is ancient lol.

Thank you for everyone that supports Team Kang. We love you guys and wouldn't be here without you. We try are best to make sure your phone is a pimp and badass as it can possibly be. I feel pretty confident that we are doing a superb job at this. To answer another question - We WILL be updating Juggernaut to the latest release that Samsung and T-mobile have provided us. Will the update be coming tomorrow? ABSOLUTELY NOT. I may look like Jesus but I lack his ability to create worlds in a matter of days.

Some things to expect. Roman been working on the music player bug that was presented a week or so ago. We are aware of the issue and it's being worked on. I am also planning on fixing the volume control bug b/c like many other it drives me ****ing nuts too. Oh, and of course another lockscreen (probably ring) will be implemented. This is what you can expect, but it will be some time before we can get this rolled out. We need to redo EVERYTHING for the new build including the existing features you have all come to know and love.

My only request is that everyone relax, and enjoy your phone. We are here to stay for quite some time. I promise.

    Love,
    Whitehawkx
    41
Ok you frakkin' vultures... since almost everyone here can only read going forward let me repeat myself...

    Arabic spacing/shaping = FIXED

    Ring lockscreen wallpaper = FIXED
Ring lockscreen incorrect low battery text = FIXED

    Christmas themed = REMOVED

Now I have done my fair share of investigating on this whole "blurry mms" issue. YES I KNOW ITS THERE. I took stock KL1 and compared files to another rom that has "blurry mms fixed." I am NOT going to name any names, but from what I can tell the reason the blurry mms is "fixed" (LOL) is because they used the framework files from 2.3.5 and added in wifi calling. Is this what ppl would have rather had? I mean, I could have added in wifi-calling to 3.7 and called it good in 10 minutes. So did Roman and myself completely waste our time by upgrading everything to 2.3.6? Is this what I'm to understand? And who knows, maybe I'm just completely wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.

Here is the fix for blurry mms = GO USE A 2.3.5 ROM. There you go. Fixed. OR you can do what I do and send pictures through email. I would think that since you all are using an android device you have email right?????? There I go assuming **** though. I suggest you all call T-mobile and raise hell if you want the blurry mms fixed. I refuse to look into this issue any further. Won't use the rom because of it. SWEET! Just less posts complaining I have to read about.

I will be posting Juggernaut 4.1 some time today. It will be the last update until ICS comes out. So if you don't like it, TOUGH.

And that's how you keep it REAL.
