I had a cyanogenmod from november 2011, here's how to make this work:
1. Make full backup of all your stuff in clockworkmod recovery
2. The links for the stock rom in huawei's website don't seem to work, so I got oficial 2.2.1 (portuguese edition) from here:
https://rapidshare.com/files/3353877856/U8800_-_ROM_2.2.1_-_TMN.zip
3. Copy the "dload" folder to the root of your SD card
4. Turn on the phone pressing volume up+volume down+power button
5. It will start to install, you don't need to touch your phone. Wait 10 minutes until it ends
6. Turn of the phone (if it doesn't automatically reboot after the instalation), and let it do something. It will reboot some times. It looks like a boot loop but it's not.
7. Now just ignore the google configuration wizard and stuff like that
8º Download the oficial gingerbread from here:
http://www.fileserve.com/file/MJ65g2c
9º Delete the "dload" of your sd card and put the "dload" of the file you just downloaded
10º Turn off the phone, turn it on with volume up+volume down+power button
11º It will install the oficial gingerbread
12º Turn on the phone. I didn't know if it was still rooted, so I ran superuser just to make sure. I also updated my clockworkmod to v5.5.0.4
13º Copy aurora's zip to the SD card
14º Boot into recovery, wipe user data, cache partition and dalvik cache
15º Go to "chose zip from sd card" and chose aurora
16º Reboot phone and done!

The ROM looks fast, I think it's a little bit slower than cyanogenmod or oxygen, but it's just an initial release. The sound is a little bass. The wifi is super fast connecting.
I noticed something with the GPS: the first time I used I was surprised it locked my position inside my house. I ran gps test, and the accuracy was pretty good. Then, I ran gps state and deleted agps data and re-downloaded it. Now it doesn't seem to be as good as it was, even though I flashed the rom again. Maybe it's just me...
But congratulations DZO, you made an awesome ROM, and you're updating it very fast! You're a very good developer.
