nope, no news. have you tried the HTC unlocker? if you have and it didn't work, keep an eye out for some kind of fix from HTC, hopefully by the end of the month.

otherwise, keep an eye on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1502157. it is a POSSIBLE way to downgrade and root, but it has NOT yet been tested on an S-ON device.

I found this PG59IMG.zip that is a leaked version of the 1.55.531.3 OTA as a full, fresh install to play with earlier:

From Leaked ROM 1.55.531.3 / Radio 11.59.3504.00_11.16.3504.20_2: (PG59IMG.zip)To find, go to the page, thank football, and look under Generic Releases Click that link and you will find it.

This is the same as using our return to retail stock PG59IMG.zip file.

yogi2010 has already successfully flashed it and reported that the HTC unlock tool works on this version.

Now we just have to figure out how to get it to install for people already on the update - i'm gonna go make dinner and see my lady for a bit - but - when I get back that's what i'll jump on - it leads to the S-ON to S-OFF issue anyways because if we can get this to flash for people on it currently then we are one step closer to effecting a downgrade-to-S-OFF option.

Exciting day!!

This was smooth as butter. My wife did the ota the other day and I used revolutionary to s-off and tried to flash su after making a backup and it never gained root. As soon as I flashed the MoDaCo recovery and flashed su (took 3 tries mind you, but it did that for sensation and SGH-T989) rebooted and opened root explorer and..... voila! Thanks for the hookup.

UPDATE!

it has been confirmed that the new factory stock PG59IMG.zip, which makes the HTC Unlock tool work, can be flashed even if you are S-ON. So, nobody is completely stuck anymore, everyone at least has access to the HTC unlock tool. for instructions on how to do this, go here:
