anyways to get past the model checks?
or if i extract the files, is there any way to adb push the ICS firmware files to the device?
also is our bootloaders locked or unlocked, i still havent found a proper answer to that

btw, im in the middle of the KDZ file flashing, its doing the same thing it does when i un-brick with the v10f file, its looking like its working so far, but we shall see when its about 90% like it normally does on the v10f it reboots and works, if it reboots and doesnt work, oh well, there is always going back to the v10f and restoring my backups

The bootloader has been confirmed to be unlocked. As for the model checking, I don't see a way past that unless someone has figured out the hack. I've tried using KDZ_FW_UPD to flash it using 3GQCT/Emergency and it always crashes before it will flash the phone.

well i have good news
i got the ICS firmware installed, but im stuck at a lg logo with "ICS ENGINEER VERSION"
in the upper right corner of screen... im posting the pics from photobucket,
but problem is, i cannot get past this, i also no longer have CWM, and have no way to get into ADB mode to run the /data format script... i have a feeling that all i need to do is format the /data partition and it should boot properly

my apologies for the crappy quality, it was taken with my backup HTC Hero

Probably have to do the same thing as the Nitro HD -> Bell P930 ROM flashing techniques, format the /data partition before flashing it. Next we'll have to see what we can do about the baseband. I do have the SU640 baseband image if needed. How did you get the ROM installed?

ok, im gonna try the format b4 flash method, ill keep updated on what goes on
crappiest part is, that these lg tools refuse to work properly on my win7 64bit install,
but yet when i load a XP virtual machine, they work fine in the XP VM...

yea eh, if it wasnt for the xp vm, ida been screwed from the start with these LG tools
but i was lucky i had it installed for HTC stuff and stuff for my old atrix that is now R.I.P.

i prefer actually using xp for the phone stuff cuz i know it works, i know its stable, and in a VM space you cannot screw up a critical system install.. lol
if u fudge up a vm u can most likely just quick reload the vm and it will be fine without loss of data and downloads and such

iver tried multiple flash's with FW tool, also with the UpTestEX_mod2_marwin tool as well,
with same result, locked at the optimus lte screen,
i can get into download mode, i can get into stock recovery, with device powered off and plugged into charger it shows the charging animation...
BUT WONT BOOT INTO OS... like WTF... ever since i flashed that ICS .kdz file, my phone has been fubared... it never did this before... i was always able to recover from a brick... now its doing nothing...
i feel tempted to smash all LG products with a sledgehammer including my LCD monitor im using now....

Well I'll be damned... it is for the APQ8060 based units.

As far as i know, my LG LU6200 has an QCT MSM8X60 unit build in...

The Bell P930 Stock ROM now works good for me, had some problems in the beginning with battery life... but with some tweaking its all good now.
I can wait for the final version of an ICS ROM, no time and patience to mess with this right now.

Never touch a running system, works for me with Android too. ;)

BTW. in China you can buy the LG LU6200 and LG SU640 for around 2500 RMB, they all are merchandise and brandnew. I guess LG will discover the chinese market too.

HI guy, I am a Chinese,my English is poor too,

You can try it like this:

First ROOT

flash Mr. Mailart's CWM-RECOVERY

Then restore the backup of Canadian version in CWM

And then flash back to the other versions

Good luck!

Maybe you have to BAIDU it, instead of google. ;)
I guess the Nitro HD and P930 owners didnt read this thread:

http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1472501

Mailart is a chinese Dev from bbs.gfan.com and the first one who made it possible to flash the canadian Bell ROM or the US Nitro HD ROM to LU6200/SU640 devices.
Thanks to him i got my LU6200 working in a language i can understand.

What i also discovered just a week ago, that he already made the CWM 5.0.2.7 work on LU6200/SU640 devices in december last year. After i tried to get CWM v5.0.2.7 working from this tread http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1410454 without success and bootloop i had to go back and flashed the CWM from Mailart.
After that i discovered that this was already CWM 5.0.2.7... :D

Maybe the P930/Nitro HD users could try this method (first link) to get CWM properly working. Its really very easy...

Good Luck!

I'm going to tell you this right now: Don't even bother. One Bell user has already bricked his phone by flashing it with the LU6200 ICS development ROM. I'm about ready to make a complaint to the mods to have a separate LU6200 sub forum created for the Chinese and Koreans to avoid having another situation like this.
