I like stock SE music player !
You could perhaps make an update zip file for each one ?

I think you could also remove some unusefull stuff like :
- accessory key dispatcher
- wallpapers
- POBox Touch
- Update Service
- Videos
- Sim toolkit
- device monitor ?

Yes this would be good

- accessory key dispatcher
Might break the buttons on some accessories.
- wallpapers
They're pretty and doesn't take much space.
- POBox Touch
It's the Japanese keyboard. Some people want it.
- Update Service
I think I removed that one.
- Videos
Necessary for viewing bought movies.
- Sim toolkit
Some people need it.
- device monitor ?
Required for USB OTG.
Oh wow, how come I didn't think of that? I'll just make a separate DSP Manager add-on.

Reasons why I didn't remove those stuff are edited in quote.

Could you please take a look over that
make the display size a bit bigger so you can draw the widgets a bit more down
my music player always redraws the title picture maybe you can do sth against that. THX:D

Thank you doomed I understand!
And I have to admit that I'm using your roms since a few month because they are close to stock, lightweight, powerfull and stable!

So I'll delete useless apps (for me) with titanium backup for example.

I'm wondering if your roms are 'supercharged' by default?
There are 3 remaining problems (for me):
- Battery life (bug in SE/ICS rom, hope that will be fixed through an upcoming doomkernel after SE release kernel source code?)
- Missing overclock/undervolt (same reason)
- Voice search give a FC on my arc...
- Facebook pictures are not shown in contact book

From what people said, it's 50% SuperCharged by default.
- Probably someone will fix it once Sony release the sources.
- You don't say?
- I'll look into it. No promises though.
- Weird, it shows up fine here. Have you synced it?

Okay, supercharging seems a bit difficult for me (is there a real performance boost ?)
I'll give a try...

FB sync was working fine for me with arconium 4.x to 7.x
But with ICS only some contacts have their picture, strange !

And thank you very much for your great work !

I've got a question for you guys about the upcoming release:

Which one do you prefer?
  1. Stock music player.
  2. ICS music player but with fully working DSP Manager port from CM9.

[...]

I prefer the second option. Even though the stock player has an equalizer setting but it's very limited. Keep in mind, I haven't tried putting ICS music player in this ROM so I don't know whether it works or not.

So, what do you guys think?

You might have a bit of work to do there, porting the AOSP Music player.
I deleted SemcMusic.apk and put in the ICS Music.apk instead (I'm using LauncherPro and I wanted a Music widget)... everything went great until I turned off the screen, with music playing in the background.

The stock lockscreen music controls kick in and starts changing tracks every 2-3 seconds. It won't stop until you unlock the screen and open the music app, at which point, playback returns to normal. Very weird...

Titanium backup is working fine
The only thing I noticed is that you should not integrate sys dalvik or apps to rom

A few other apps have some issues, for example startup manager from ES task manager won't work.

You should try this rom, my arc has never been so fast ! (more than 1000 points in vellamo without overclock !)

Feedback

Hi Doomed, i just want to say thanks for all the hard work from version to version on this rom,im using the V4 on a daily basis and no issues. Suprisingly i only lost 15% battery in like 15 hours which includes messing with the phn, taking a few pictured etc so im more dan happy so far:D

I think having add ons for the 2 players will be awsome so we can choose, also can you please do the same for the galleries? SO we can add on the ICS or Stock depends on what we prefer?

Other dan that the Rom is stable and fast, just my personal experience while playing with it for the last 24 hours.I will keep using this Rom and cant wait for a 100% working Doomkernel for it :D

I have a small question:
At the first boot in one homescreen there were 3 widgets:
1. The music player
2. Photos and videos
3. Media shortcut (the one with the 3 icons -music,gallery,videos)
I accidentally deleted the last one and now when I try to insert it again it says that there is not enough room in that homescreen.
Besides deleting all data from Home (which will reset to default and obviously will again have the widgets correctly, but I will loose all folders and will need to create them again..) is there another thing I could do???
TIA
I love your ROM :)

This Rom is beautiful, but... one question...
Did is possible to downgrade from Android 4.0.3 to Android 2.3.4 and .62 Firmware?

doomed, not sure if this is ROM related, but starting here first,

I intermittently have my SD Card become 'Invisible' to the phone, i have to reboot the phone for it to be visible again. It's weird, you can access and view files from Root Explorer, but, when selecting to play music via the music player, or selecting a ring tone from your music library, it says no music can be found.

The same with my pictures, they are there, then after sometime, maybe a day or so, they dissappear, and all i can see are my online facebook albums.

Again, a reboot resolves this, not to sure if this is a Sony ICS related bug, or ROM specific.

Anyone else get this?

Please do NOT use any of my customized scripts for your own release. Using them as reference is fine though.

    Known Issues for 5.0

    • Touch controls might not work in AROMA Installer.
    • As with stock ICS, phone/contacts may take a while to start for the first time after boot.
    • If you didn't do a full wipe when coming from 4.1.B.0.431, you might have problems deleting bloatware.

    Troubleshooting

    • Flash the corresponding modules from the kernel you use (unless "modules included" is written) to make sure WiFi works properly.
    • If touch doesn't work in AROMA Installer, you can use hardware keys to navigate (like CWM).

    Installation

    1. Copy update zip to SD card.
    2. Flash a suitable baseband using FlashTool.
    3. Flash one of the listed kernels or any compatible ones.
    4. Boot into ClockworkMod Recovery.
    5. Flash zip package.
    6. Follow on-screen instructions.
    7. Reboot.

    @doomed151

Any chance to have AD2SDX mod in the next release ? Will be awesome
I'll look into it, perhaps in the next update?
