[KERNEL][ICS][LINUX 3.0.36][JUL08] Nova Kernel Pure Edition | Beta1 | Fast & Light

Nova Kernel is a Kernel based on tegra-linux-3.0.y by wkpark.
What do it mean by Pure Edition?
It means that this build will be as clean as possible, only some fixes will be cherry-picked.
It is for ICS ROM such as CM9, AOKP and MIUI v4 ONLY.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
1. Copy NovaKernel.zip to External SD card
2. Boot into CWM Recovery
3. Flash NovaKernel.zip
4. Reboot and Enjoy it!

RAMHACK INSTRUCTION
Open Terminal Emulator

OPTIMIZE PERFORMANCE
1. Settings -> Developer Options -> Windows Animation Scale -> 0.5x
2. Settings -> Developer Options -> Transition Animation Scale -> 0.5x
3. Settings -> Performance -> Scrolling Cache-> Default Disable
4. Settings -> Performance -> Memory Management -> Tick "Kernel Samepage Merging"
5. Apex Launcher / LG Optimus UI 3.0

Yeah I don't like something messy so I make this decision. This kernel can be applied to CM9/AOKP Rom.

DS battery driver give you better battery life but with funky readings.

hei, have you thought about implementing spica´s kernel tweaks in your 3.0.x kernel , or perhaps make a cooperation with him ?!

Your shown procentage in the statusbar will jump up and down. It isn't shown correctly as it is normally.

Of course it won't. Just may rise up and stay at a percentage for a long time. It is unpredictable

I see. My fully loaded phone shows 95 % right now.

I wonder if that is an improvement in the end, but let's see where this goes. I feel that there's speed improvement with the new kernel, as far as I can judge from the few minutes of using it. Apps start faster, and changing between them is more smooth.

But is it possible that the automatic backlight is changing more frequently than in the former version?

phone calls not working

hei as always awesome work! I came from 18-31 and i had some issues you said to go to 19 (as it's better) I just did, wipe cache, wipe delvik, and non wipe. worked smooth, I did a phone call and work, after that i couldn't make anymore phone calls, i flash again this time wipe cache, wipe delvik and full wipe again went smooth but still cannot make any calls, i already try manually to look for mobile networks but nothing, i did mobile network automatic and says i have reception (full bars) but doens't have the 3G thingy. Should flash again with different RIL (i'm using at the moment 2XX 10b)? HELP!

ps. I also get notifications that 'contacts' stop working, and other apps 'stop working' while i'm using the phone...

You should ask this in my rom thread next time. Match the RIL with you baseband may help.
