Nils man i cant believe your thread is still on top of the development page ive been gone from xda since probably December atleast rarly got on at that time... lol thought id chime in even though i dont know if your still on the dinc threads or moved on lol

Do you mean the lock ring disappearing? Cuz that should be mostly ironed out by this release. I don't believe there was a permanent fix for that bug.

Yea I am glad that Nils' roms threads are still being used. I know Nils is working his magic on the Rezound.

This is the first custom ROM I've tried out and so far so good. I like all the new sense 3.5 features and it seems a bit faster than the latest OTA. So great job on the ROM!

However, has anyone taken a look at the problem related to the pin pad lockscreen? the buttons on the pin pad is TINY! Is there anyway to fix this? My company mandates our phones to be locked using a pin number so this may be a deal breaker for me.

Thanks in advance!

So your company won't allow pattern lock? Because I'm almost 100% sure there is nothing wrong there.

Nope, only pin passwords, or alphanumeric passwords...

Alphanumeric passwords also needs to have a mixture of characters, numbers, and symbols.. so that's even worse...

Well you can always try MikRunny or Pure's Clutch 3.5 because those might have the correctly working pin password. Other than that I'd say use the the alphanumeric if you don't want to switch ROM's.

I can't seem to open the Sound Enhancer or Beats Audio in music player. Used to work before I don't know what happened.

What kernel would you flash over mine? (And it's kernel not kernal - sorry I see it so often and it drives me nuts).

From testing and many user experiences beats only works with my 10/23/11 and older releases and stock or later gingertiny kernels don't work. I've looked at it on several occasions to get it working in later kernel releases but could never figure it out. Somehow the combination of source files used to build the earlier releases as there was no HTC gingerbread kernel source at the time was able to get it working.

Great ROM!

I know I'm late to the party on this one, but I just have to say, this is a fantastic ROM. It's the most stable one I've used yet, has all the latest bells and whistles, and I swear it runs faster/smoother than stock!

The only oddness I ran into was that the HTC Sense would restart pretty regularly when switching back to the Launcher; I fixed that by going into the Task Manager App and turning off "Start automatically".

Thanks for an awesome ROM!

Install the V6 Supercharger and your Sense reload problem will be gone. I used it for months on Nils' BGS and it made a big difference.

...sorry...I was on the phone...

    My attempt at a Sense 3.5 Gingerbread 2.3.5 ROM

    It is a port of the Latest RUU Runnymede ROM - Thanks to newtoroot for helping me get version 1 going

    INSTRUCTIONS

    Requirements:
    ▪ Clockworkmod Recovery 3.x or higher
    ▪ Radio 2.x (Try different ones to see which works best for you. I am using the 07.07 radio)
    ▪ hboot 0.92 Required (See this post #635 for hboot 0.92 and instructions)
    ▪ A Full Wipe Highly Recommended! (Required if this is the first version you are installing)

    NOTE: Will not flash over anything but this ROM.

    Installation:
    ▪ Copy ROM to root of the SDCARD
    ▪ Boot into recovery
    ▪ Factory Reset
    ▪ Format system in mounts
    ▪ Install it using "Install Zip From SD" Card option
    ▪ Boot - NOTE: Be patient on first boot since it may sit for a few minutes
    ▪ Skip everything in settings for first install
    ▪ Avoid Google and Titanium restores if possible.

    DISCLAIMER: As usual, flash at your own risk and don't forget to backup your current installation before flashing.

    Download - Version 2.2 >> Download - After reading instructions
    NOTE: MD5 = On Download Site

    IMPORTANT: Won't flash over anything unless I say otherwise.

    RULE OF THUMB: If you choose to flash over without a wipe and have lags, FC's, things missing, or things just don't work right then flash again with a complete wipe as follows

    If you have trouble after flashing or stuck on splash screen do the following:

    1. Pull battery if necessary
    2. Enter recovery
    3. Make sure your on hboot .92
    4. Make sure your on CWM 3x or higher
    5. Factory/Reset
    6. Format system in mounts
    7. Re-Flash ROM from SD Card
    8. ReBoot
    NOTE: If you are still having problems (FC's, 3G drops, etc.) do the following:

    CLEAN AND REFRESH THE PHONE WITH THE FOLLOWING STEPS:     (Do not install with Rom Manager)
    1. Download the Stock GB ROM Here
    2. Check MD5
    3. Put it on your SD Card
    4. Reboot to recovery (Do not install with Rom Manager)
    5. Factory reset on main menu
    6. Format System on mount menu
    7. Flash the stock ROM from 1
    8. Boot ROM
    9. Skip everything in settings
    10. Do a *228 option 2
    11. Log into the market - Make sure you skip/uncheck the restore option
    12. STOP HERE AND DO THE FOLLOWING
    INSTALL MY ROM (Do not install with Rom Manager)
    1. Download the current version of this ROM from above
    2. Check MD5
    3. Put it on your SD Card
    4. Reboot into recovery
    5. Factory reset on main menu
    6. Format System on mount menu
    7. Flash the current version of this ROM
    8. Boot ROM
    9. Skip everything in settings
    10. Do a *228 option 2 in the dialer
    11. Log into the market - Make sure you skip/uncheck the restore option
    12. Set up but do not restore anything
    13. Install your apps manually from either the market or your SD Card
    14. Let me know how it is running
    My theory is that other ROM's leave residue that can cause problems with the first install of my ROM.

    Add-Ons, Mods and Recommendations

    Lets you select battery styles, icons for all over, task bar mods, and even boot animations.

    Use the framework-res.apk, com.htc.resources.apk, and SystemUI.apk from the ROM zip folder

    Helpful hints on battery life:

    • Look in Settings > Accounts & Sync and make sure you are not syncing anything you don't care about like news and stocks, etc. Leave them to update when opened. Same with E-Mail.
    • Go into the people/contacts and make sure you are only syncing contacts you need. For example I use Outlook and turned off Google and phone.
    • Turn off WiFi when you are not in range or need it. I boosted the search frequency time but it still helps to not have it searching at all
    • Adjust screen brightness to say 50% then put it on auto.
    • In Settings > Location turn off GPS and Phone Finder. That assumes you don't care about Phone Finder.
    • In Settings > Privacy turn off automatic backups if you don't use them
    • In Settings > Power turn of efficiency
    • In Settings > Applications > Manage Applications uninstall ES File Explorer and HTC_IME mod (My black keyboard) if you don't use them. EFS runs in the background all the time.
    • In Settings > Applications > Manage Applications uninstall Netflix if you don't use it.
    • Look in Settings > Applications and see if you have any apps that run all the time that you don't really use and uninstall them.
    If I think of more I will add them.

    Most of these use battery but also use RAM so you can save on both.

    For the record: I will never be the first to release, not because I wait for the others to do it, but because I take longer to test and am pretty damn picky.

    I am pretty sure this will not flash over 1.5 but give it a try and let me know.

    Full wipe process:

    1. Reboot into recovery
    2. Select Wipe Data/Factory reset then select yes.
    3. Go in Mounts and storage
    4. Select Format System then select yes
    5. Back to main menu
    6. Select install zip from from SD Card and find the ROM and install it.
    7. Reboot system now
    8. Enjoy
