My battery sucks balls... 3 hours of surfing the web and playing with phone and it went dead. Although, that was the first charge... So 3h of usage and 3h of screen on timeDissapointed. Maybe something is wrong?
try taking a look at your battery use under power in settings. take some screenshots of your battery use and screen time. post it here so people can help you diagnose the problem.
you can also install 'BetterBatteryStats' on your One X to check what processes/apps are killing your battery quick.
otherwise, it might be your first charge cycle. did you charge for more than 6 hours? don't worry. the battery will get better with each charge cycle.

Dont worry, I was getting less than that on my first week. But it has been getting a bit better. On a typical work day the phone last easily all day with wifi off. But when I start using it heavily, I get about 4 hours of screen on time before its just about dead
My battery life is terrible. Only been using my phone for 40 minutes browsing XDA etc and I'm down to 88% already (set to half brightness and just WiFi on)

Well, I surfed internet and played with my phone for 30 minutes and battery was on 90%. Horrible...
- I surfed internet (which browser, which pages, how long?)
- played with my phone for 30 minutes (throw it in the air and catch it?...or what did you do for 30min)
- battery was on 90%. Horrible... (brightness? sync settings, cellradio, gps?)

Statements like this are useless. You can make 100 posts like this and your battery will still suck.
You could also do a little research and find out what is actually draining the battery, maybe its just 1 bad app.

Just charged again. Well, I surf net with default browser. In those 30 minutes I did browsing (mobili.lt, xda-developers, some other pages and just walked through all settings) I just got the phone, so please don't judge me, I am kinda new to Android, haven't used it for more than a year.Well my brigtness was on minimum, no sync, just Edge and no gps. That's why I said that it was horrible.
Can you please remind me how to do screenshot and could you please tell me, which pages should I take photos of?
Give the phone a few battery cycles before judging it.
hold the power-button (top one), and press the home-button for screenshot.
In the settings-menu you'll see "power", the stats are there, you can click the different items to see the details in usage.
hi ya guys...after few days with my phone my battery i would say is average to good. 1day and 14hrs and 3hrs screen on time. have wifi on all the time, but when screen is off wifi goes to sleep. and the funny thing is when i go to advanced in wifi settings, wifi is always on bug i take it.
but anyway battery life so far is not bad...running 1.26 firmware still

Im pretty happy, I am actually worried because going to have to send mine back and get a new one and I hope it will be the same at least.
Here are my stats, i was suppose to do a test of wifi surfing only but i forgot about it and did other stuff.
On my 3rd charge today I am going to 3G surfing and report back tomorrow.

Flashed new ROM made full charge and wiped the battery stats, so far this is what I have on a relaxed Saturday
something's wrong. if you are not using your phone and your battery keeps declining on a rapid rate, perhaps there is a background app that is eating up your battery.
use 'BetterBatteryStats' on Play to see what is the culprit. or post up more screenshots of your battery use.

I think that my problem is the bad signal, which makes the phone consume too much... What do you think, considering that almost all the time I use only 2g:
Also the power consumed in standby seems too much.. btw, after the upgrade the battery life seems better

One X is my first Android phone. And was too disappointed as it lasted on for less than 6hrs an it took almost 3hrs to charge. happy to know that after few cycles, it will get better. Will post screen shots after few cycles. BTW how can I update from 1.26 to 1.28. I tried to update from the phone and its saying no update available !!!

They are pretty decent, they could be better, but as usual I had stray of the path and test the GPS and other stuff.
Speaking of GPS its pretty damn good! I get 7-9 fixes inside my livingroom surrounded by concrete walls and some windows.

Great news, fantastic news!
Now if you wouldn't mind, there are some very happy HOX owners here, that care not a tinkers cuss for the screen time of a Samsung phone, or what a Samsung owner thinks HTC "should have done", so do run along.4This is a stat I achieved the other day (lowest brightness, WiFi connected & I barely actually touched it) but in real world normal use I get about 3 hours of screen on in auto mode.
Like I said, without detailed usage some of these stats being quoted are utterly meaningless.3
