occationally tapatalk goes on sale for free in the Samsung Market if you have a samsung device and samsung based rom. Tibu it then use it with any rom forever.

but back to topic:
Feature Requests:
#1 Tapatalk is a great base but the xda app isnt really providing anything above and beyond its base. Add more customization and features. There have been many great suggestions but I also see this thread constantly reporting bugs with standard features, I do understand you need to get the basic things working before you add something completely new. Perhaps a post on the portal could bring in some new help, a few extra developers, different sets of eyes and and ideas could get the wrinkles out and some new great ideas flowing. I would love to see this app give me a reason to stop needing to use tapatalk instead.

#2 it would be nice if your xda "contacts & freinds" could sync to your phone contacts, and by clicking them in your contacts app, bring up the option to send PM through xda app. This would also promote using the "friends" feature on the site. this would also require adding a way to view/add/send request for " contacts & friends " in-app now.

plate full.

Screenshots are saved as .png. The app doesn't like uploading PNGs so I have to convert to JPEG and upload that way. Is this the same for anyone else?

Yes,

Probably XDA will update also like a clone of the new Tapatalk 2. I'm using Tapatalk v2 beta 6 (for free).

I have a HP Touchpad and bought the Premium HD app when I had the AOKP rom installed. Now that I have gone back to CM9 the market says my device is not compatible with the app.

The app ran fine on the CM9 based AOKP rom. Not sure why CM9 wouldn't be compatible.

Who do I need to contact, and what information do I need to give them to get Cyangenomod9/Touchpad added as a compatible device for this app?

Any idea why my thanks count would show two different values in the XDA app under my profile? Not a big deal, just curious. I guess it has something to do with me inheriting the Sensation radio/RIL thread from glitzbd? Thanks!

795 is the number of times you have thanked some one else, 803 is how many times you have been thanked

There used to be an option to get notified if someone quotes you, I can't find it now in the user cp, maybe somebody knows where it is.

Although I'm nothing todo with the XDA Android Tapa-talk based app - I thought it was about time we had a single thread for all discussions making it easier for the powers that be to monitor and give feedback via.

Feel free to ask questions about it's use and report any faults you find. You can also ask for new features, but I cannot promise they will ever be delivered.

N.B. The mods will be merging questions about the app into here from the "About" forum also.

    So, have at it...

As mentioned by others, XDA are working on there own mobile app (getting away from Crapatalk) as well as a mobile version of XDA. These are probably higher up the priority list right now, but an update to the existing XDA app will be coming out soon

Just a bit of a status update:

We had a meeting with Tapatalk last week and are preparing an update for the app that will fix the freezes and also give multiple choices for themes.

I'm currently rebuilding the search index which knocks the "Participated threads" tab offline in the app. It will be back as soon as the reindex is done.
