Service Announcement: I have to reformat my laptop to put Windows on it for about 2 weeks. Not that I was really doing much other than trying to fix the audio skip in Bluetooth, which I can still do from a VM, but if anything cool comes up just be advised I won't be doing anything with it right away.
Also, the Wifi-Only patch posted a page or two back does work, but ... 1) GPS doesn't work right unless you manage to turn airplane mode off before you fire it up, which is a task I made a bit difficult. Any third-party app that can enable/disable airplane mode probably still works. 2) I had some serious bad juju coming back to the regular ROM after using that and ultimately just ODIN-ed the device to stop the weirdness. I had been back and forth a couple times before it went wonky so it may not be commonplace or a result of me screwing around with it incessantly
Oh and a minor #3 ... if you wipe data, Google Maps will usually FC on first boot since it has some bug that requires an active data connection. Turn on Wifi, fire up Google Maps or Nav or Places, reboot ... should be OK after that.
I will probably be bored where I'm going so I'll still be checking in.
PS - I absolutely hate the new CyanogenMod logo
Thanks for the bumps, but it's OK to let the thread slip a page or two, let's give the whole spotlight to the guys working with ICS for a while!
