Sick! Love the animations! Font looks very clean! Amazing! Thank you very much! One mod I would like to see is battery percentage though! Not a complaint by a future request possibly? :)

Don't really want to make one because I'm lazy and don't have time to hand craft 100 images. You could always use uot to add it yourself. The version I use has tweaks ported from weapon so battery% is there already, its just not stable enough yet...

I still need to adjust the animation speeds. After all the issues I've been having adding mods I'm reluctant to adjust small things yet. I'm not a developer and will never claim to be. I'm just a glorified themer really..

Kwes, I would like to know if you would teach me your evil ways? :) how did you get to the point of Modding Roms? You say you started as a theamer? I am not much in to theams myself but I understand crawling before walking. Any why I can help so I can learn? I have a few mods i would like to see and want to know how to do it myself. "They say if you give a man fish he will eat for a day. You teach a man to fish he will eat for a life time." Thank you.

Sent from a phone... do you really need to know more?

I'd say start by learning to theme so you can understand XML. Which will lead to an understanding how things work. Once comfy with that start finding guides for mods and try to add them to stock roms. At least that's how most of us began learning. And the learning process will never stop. You will never make anything 100% perfect so there's always room to improve.

Your post said we must have the March 2012 baseband but your pic has July 15, 2011 Baseband. That's got me a little confused. If you have the March 2012 baseband, how did you get it to go back to July 15, 2011? Maybe I am missing something here.

Because I don't use my g2x much unless I'm testing. And I'm trying to figure out how to get it to work with the old base bands.

Flashing this ROM does not give you the new baseband. Whatever baseband you're on when you flash this ROM will remain.

That's why his baseband is still the old one.

You have to learn XML language then put your hand on SystemUI.apk. Extracting this by using WinRar and manually editing it might work but watch out for extra XMLs. They might cause "back fire" :D

Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium

That won't work XML is compiled. You have to use apktool to decompile, edit it, then recompile and pray it works. winrar or 7zip only works with images.

I have it. And I've been flashing many roms without problems. Ics, miui, eagleblood Gb. I thought you couldn't with the new one

Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA

Have you tried the phone feature (just simply voice call someone) with those ROMs?
That will not work, both party will only hear static noise.

As the title says this is the new v21y update rooted. You must have the march 2012 baseband or in call audio will not function properly.

    Disclaimer:
Not responsible for anything that happens to your device. It is yours and you flash at your own free will.

    ROM includes:
    v21y 2.3.4 update
    Root -unsecured boot.img
    init.d support
deodexed (was already that way in the update)
    zipaligned

I did not remove any of the bloatware in this version, you should know how to do that yourself.

    Known issues..
If you do not have the march 2012 baseband in call audio WILL NOT WORK. You have to update the baseband.
Pulling the update only disenfranchises the unsophisticated G2X owners, those who only use "official" updating methods but it doesn't prevent anyone who takes the time and trouble of learning how to use other methods of updating. The v21y_00.kdz is still available directly from LG: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1601918

    To install:
    1. Reboot into cwm
    2. Wipe data/factory reset
    3. Go to advanced>wipe dalvik cache
    4. Go to mounts and storage>format /system.
    5. Go to install zip from SD card.
    6. Install the zip and reboot.

ScreenShots will be up after a while.

Here's a tip to get a little more free ram and save some data/battery.

Use a file explorer go to system/app look for omadmclient.apk and delete it. This app is LGs ota update watcher. It constantly runs in the background. Deleting it frees the resources its silently leeching.

Ok, there it is, the freaking noise. If you flash faux's on cm7 eb, you'll hear the noise

Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium

That is stated in the op. Its been a known issue since the update came out. The new baseband is not compatible with old roms. Or any from except for ones based on the update.

I have made a lot of progress on the new rom. However I've encountered a lot of headaches over this damn thing. Once I can get it stable I'll release it no eta. Going as fast as I can.
