Thank goodness for ADB....I have never had issues with mainVER error...but today I did, when flashing this, but I am restoring and getting mainver fixed and I will reflash.

when I tried to get into stock recovery it immediatly went to hboot and tried to load the PHIMG98 for rez.

Oh well got it sorted now, I like the boot animation, excited to see how the rest feels!

only time I've ever corrupted stuff was when I'd pull the USB out before unmoubting.. I've lost lots of pics doing that lol.. oh well. either way the camera on sense 4 is not really to my taste, as it takes forever to load up sometimes and glitches out but whatever, I don't care anymore lol I'm too lazy to switch back and sense 4 is so much nicer than 3. battery life alone on ics is crazy though, like I literally lost ten hours of battery life from gingerbread hahah I barely get 6 now when I'd get around 15 on gb. that crazy kernel! sounds like a tv show.

OK, if this is a stupid question I apologize in advance. I did perform a search not only of this thread, but of all the Rezound dev forums and couldn't find an answer to my question.

Not new to rooting and romming, did it on my Droid X all the time. New to the HTC scene and things are a little different with the unlocked bootloader and such.

I downloaded Boot Manager because I want to test out some of the great roms I keep reading about. Besides being rooted and s-off, and I've changed splash screen and boot animation, I'm still on the stock ROM that came with the phone. I want to keep this as my phone rom for the time being while I use boot manager to test out other roms.

My hboot is still the original 2.11 that came on the phone, I did not change it when I did s-off. Boot Manager says to make sure you only try to use roms that use your same version of hboot.

I see that there is a patch to run this rom on non-ICS firmware. Does that mean that this rom will work with hboot 2.11? Or do I need 2.21?

Thanks for any help you guys can give, and again sorry if it's a stupid question. :)

UPDATE: Nevermind. I threw caution to the wind and just did it. Worked like a champ! Sorry for the stupid question. :)

    Install a custom recovery. It is reported that CWM is having periodic issues with certain code formats in the update-script. With that being said, I highly recommend using Amon RA Style Recovery with this ROM.

    • Download RezROM from the link below. If you are S-ON, download RezROM_S4_S-ON_Kernel_Installer.zip as well.

    • CHECK THE MD5 AFTER PLACING ON YOUR SDCARD. Windows user can download md5 checksum shell extension.

    • Reboot your device into recovery mode.

    • I recommend a wipe for this installation. A lot has changed.

    • Install the ROM in recovery. S-OFF users simply reboot. S-ON USERS DO NOT REBOOT. Now flash S4 Kernel Installer zip which will reboot your to bootloader to finish the process.

    How to upgrade your firmware:

    ​

    1. Download the 3.11.605.22 Leaked RUU: LINK MD5 = 58b0f42defc689650ddd5128f195dc7d
    2. Rename the RUU to "PH98IMG.zip"
    3. Copy the renamed RUU to the root of your external SD Card.
    4. Re-lock the bootloader.
    • Open a DOS prompt and change directory to the folder where you have fastboot.exe

    • Reboot to bootloader

    • Type "fastboot oem lock" (No Quotes) while you are in bootloader (fastboot usb).
    5. Reboot to bootloader again via recovery menu.
    • The bootloader will begin to scan the PH98IMG.zip - This will take awhile

    • When it asks if you want to update press volume up for yes.

    • The update will make the first pass - This will take awhile as well

    • The phone will reboot and sit on the white HTC screen - DO NOT freak out once again "this will take awhile"

    • When it is done it will reboot back to fastboot mode.

    • Make sure "Bootloader" is highlighted and then press the power button to run the second pass of the install - once again "this will take awhile :)" - watch the screen to verify ok next to each partition

    • Once complete press the power button to reboot.

    • Your device will now begin booting on the newly installed Leaked RUU
    6. Once booted skip everything in setup
    7. Proceed to http://htcdev.com/ to unlock the bootloader - Unlock keys do expire so you may need to request a new key.
    8. Install the custom recovery of your choice.
    9. Flash RezROM as instructed above.    ​
