That's exactly my current test environment for ceFFM. Therfore it should work at your device without problems, too.

Exclamation Update 0.3.4 is available
Last 2 days were rainy ones, hence I could invest unplanned some time to bring ceFFM a step forward ... Uploaded version 0.3.4, see post #1

Changelog ceFFM-0.3.4

FIX:
1. Fixed some (avoidable) coding errors (esp. missing quotes)
2. Completely rewrote ceFFM's skin-file 'startup480x272.cemenu' - looks fine in 480x272 emulator
3. Now CE related TOOLHELP.DLL by default also present in ceFFM's installation directory (asked by @silentlyscreaming, redundant, but doesn't hurt anything)

CHG:
1. CE's taskbar now is shown during ceFFM's load, thus access to CE is given if something goes wrong
2. Updated NaviPlayer to v3.1 and added several 800x480 and 480x272 skins (all thanks to gonzales89)

After successful installation ceFFM's disk layout looks like

I know I'm a bit behind with correspondence, but quick update here...

copied 0.3.4 across

ran via wolfncu, as had more luck last time I think (?)

ceFFM-0.3.4

Thanks for using ceFFM

Status:

ceFFM-0.3.4

A ceFFM installation already
exists on your sat nav.
Really sure to install ceFFM-
0.3.4 to your Sat Nav

yes no

(didn't uninstall due to issues last time )
clicked yes

Code:
error

sub " not found

line 340 (SDMMC\ceFFM-0.3.4\ceFFM.mscr):
@CleanupSystemPath()

just in case, ran via native menu (altering GPS path)

not the same error this time
got past backing up registry
now we have

Code:
Error

ForEach without "in"

Line 1125 (SDMMC\ceFFM-0.3.4\ceFFM.mscr):
ForEach e Directories("*")

tried looking at ceFFM.mscr, but it looked as though there were CR/LF type issues, as in Windows Notepad at least (prev ceFFM mscr files displayed fine), lines ran on one from another, with what looked like tabs between lines instead of a CR/LF type thing. Didn't fancy counting 1124 tabs, so gave up for now.

Will try and take another look later.

Hi guys (are there any women here anyway?)

daringly installed 3.4. All went well. Cool. Can somebody direct me how to delete unwanted icons? Did not find the answer here.

RE
@silentlyscreaming,

thanks again for your feedback. You go ways I never thought of. Therefore you encounter bugs ...

1. In line 5047 remove '@' character
2. Line 1125 should read: ForEach e In Directories("*")

An already corrected 'ceFFM.mscr' (readable in Windows NotePad) is attached. I now am using freeware NotePad++, hence the strange formatting.

@10yearsafter,

you simply remove the corresponding line within the relevant *.cemenu file.

used new ceffm.mscr
ran from default menu
getting further, back to the long line of dots

Code:
Error

String not closed (missing quote)
Line 2657 (\SDMMC\ceFFM-0.3.4\ceFFM.mscr):
lnk2=pth\"installation\ceFFM.lnk
added closing quote

voice: ceffm has been successfully installed and configured
normal restart

(large print/low res) xda devleopers thread msg auto closes

verified and configured

menu loads fine
many apps not working (no, not the ones that only have a shortcut ( ), no mortscripts seem to function, rest are just plain simple EXEs), from the ones I've tried, it is the programs that didn't run directly previously (initiated through a file manager previously).

in terms of icons at the bottom, keyboard, reboots, exits fine. ceffm config not working either.

I'll go through e-mails, previous posts in this thread, and reply to anything I've let slip soon, and properly test other icons and whether I can now run ceFFM from native menu/WinCE desktop/WolfNCU, but now it is time give the kids a bath.

Kudos on the program, and all your efforts.

Hi guys, me again.

Managed to get rid of unwanted icons. Who has several navigation apps installed? Also found out how to set paths.

Following the recommendation, installed 3.4 on flashdrive. As mentioned above, no errors occurred. Obviously it only isn't stable if you install it on sddrive???

On my device the default shell GPS_Main consumes ridiculous 11 KB RAM. ceffm and/or its skin eats 1,788 KB RAM, thus in total less than 2 MB RAM are used. Brilliant. Program will remain my one and only shell for now.

If bugs arrive I'll report them.

Thx again.

OK, was playing with ceffm.ini

couple of queries/points

What happened to the extendce (or similar) option? Now ceFFM is working, I wanted to check if I could get a bit more up and running within WinCE itself. (I mainly want to check if doing so will enable the apps that don't currently rin to work and if bluetooth is physically present, but the drivers aren't loaded (the Chinese manufacturer will sometimes release identical hardware, but at different prices, with bluetooth/AV in disabled via software for the cheaper models)).

If I set preserve system memory (sorry, operating from memory here, device in the car) to 4096, the next time I run ceFFM I obviously get the "reconfiguring" type message, then the device restarts. However, the next attempt at running ceFFM merely results in another "reconfiguring", then a restart. As soon as I reset the reservesystemmemory to 0, and another "reconfiguring" occurs, ceFFM runs fine.

I'll post back with any other options that cause problems later.

I have successfully installed it on my WinCE5.0 Chinese GPS. Ran into couple of times some errors but came out with slight code modification.
Thanks for wonderful work, now all my limitation with device has been removed.
Naviplayer is excellent - Thanks much for this.
I downloaded the extension but do not know how to install it. Any special instructions for it?
